April 2012 — "good selection but most items on buffet were lukewarm and lacked flavor. the quality certainly left lots to be desired and i feel that returning is not an option. i certainly enjoy chinese food, but it must be good. i feel this falls short in this area."

March 2012 — "For the price, Dragon City is an okay buffet. They have quite a few items to choose from. The quality isn't great though. The lunch buffet on Sunday has a full breakfast buffet, which is what enticed me. I figured I could spend my $10 at a breakfast place and get one plate, or I could spend it at Dragon City and have as much breakfast as I wanted as well as the salad bar and chinese food and dessert. The eggs benedict was cold though and the sauce on the top had hardened from sitting there so long. The best breakfast items were the bacon and sausage. All you can eat bacon! It was great! The chinese food wasn't too bad. The spring rolls and ginger beef were my favorite things. They have ice cream for dessert and a bunch of pastries and puddings and jello etc. For the price, it's a pretty good deal. "

March 2012 — "We were in Red Deer on a Sunday and were going to go for breakfast but changed our minds and went to Dragon City for their buffet instead. It was almost 1pm. The food looked okay, and for $10 a person we thought it was a steal of a deal! However, the food was quite disappointing. They had an assortment of Chinese food as well as quite a few breakfast items like eggs benedict, bacon and sausage, pancakes, hashbrowns etc. As it was at the tail end, the breakfast food had probably been sitting for quite awhile and wasn't very fresh. The Chinese food was okay but nothing to rave about. They had a large assortment of desserts as well as hard and soft ice cream. I guess for the price, the selection and quality was to be expected. I probably wouldn't go again unless it was at the very start of the buffet. "

June 2008 — "Tucked away in a strip mall on 23 Street and 50 Avenue, the Dragon City Cafe is somewhat difficult to find, but well worth the effort. The patron has, for a modest charge, the opportunity to dine from Western , Chinese, a salad bar, and dessert table. I chose the Chinese buffet and was not disappointed. The ginger beef was spicy, but not overwhelming; the sweet and sour pork was tender; the bean sprout dishes were crisp and fresh. Somehow I didn't see plain white rice, if it was there! The alternate food buffet had such a items as ham, corn, pyroghies, etc. I was told by someone who eats there often, that in the evening, turkey with all the trimmings is often served. The decor is very basic, but clean, with some individual tables, and several long 'group' settings. Our server was very pleasant. I would recommend the Dragon City Cafe to anyone!"
