January 2010 — "We were out in Windermere for some much need rest! We took a drive into Invermere to spend the day walking around the town and going through the shops. Lunch time came around and we decided that a light lunch would be in order and the Quality Bakery looked like the perfect place!
We were able to get a bowl of soup and a coffee which was the perfect way to warm us up on this chilly January day! It was cheap, and good it hit the spot perfectly!
The service was lovely, I'm not sure if it is the owners that run this place. But you can tell they really take pride in what they do. They talked to us for quite awhile, and when we mentioned that we were planning on skiing the next day - they were more than happy to hand out tips and weather conditions.
The lunch was perfect but perhaps the best part was the baking...my oh my! My only complaint would have to be too many choices! We each had a cookie for dessert and we even bought a pie and bread to take home for dinner!
Thanks guys - we will return!"

June 2008 — "We called in Invermere on our way from Fernie to Lake Louise looking for a place to have a light lunch. There seemed to be several small cafes and coffee shops in Invermere but we selected the Quality Bakery. They have a small deck but we chose to sit inside and enjoy the air conditioning. The bakery was buzzing, with hardly a table free, obviously popular with locals and visitors. The building is kind of long and narrow and has about 10 tables. There is a central display offering among other things a variety of local chocolates. Between the four of us we ordered beef and mushroom soup, bacon and leek quiche, a sausage roll, a chocolate éclair and cookie from the counter. I do like being able to see what you are ordering, but it can make choosing difficult if everything looks good. The quiche was delicious, the cookie just okay. I would really like to return to this place for lunch, perhaps on another visit north to Lake Louise I will get the opportunity. "

DescriptionSince the 1960s this bakery has provided the city of Invermere and the local area with baked goods. The lunches on offer include soups, quiches and sandwiches. The store also makes gift items and wedding cakes and is open 7.30am to 6pm Monday to Saturday.
