April 2008 — "While staying at the Voyager Inn, I decided to try out their restaurant. Although boring, the choice of orange juice, soft poached eggs, brown toast and hashbrowns is usually a pretty safe bet, especially in the morning when surprises are not always welcome. The atmosphere felt a little like I was at a conference - deep red walls, typical wooden tables and cafe-style chairs, and a silver buffet cabinet complete with grey skirt in the middle of the room. A little station where a person could make their own waffles was also available. The food was fine, and the coffee was reasonable. The hardest part of eating in this restaurant was watching the staff, who seemed half asleep and in a bit of pain from what looked like headaches (frequent rubbing of temples and a lot of squinting from the sun)...perhaps there was a virus going around...It was a bit tough to get their attention, and I must admit, having one of the waiters throw a new fork my way when I dropped one on the floor was a little disheartening. In the end, the food was decent, but it would likely be best to visit this restaurant a little later in the day to give the staff a chance to wake up and get organized."
