January 2010 — "I'd heard lots about this place and decided to check it out for lunch with a few friends. The decor is pretty dated and worn, but it makes for a very casual dining environment for drinks and hanging out. I found the server alright but she seemed pretty indifferent for the most part, at times put out if we asked for something. I decided on the fish and chips, which came with a pretty generous portion of battered cod, home-style fries and a side of coleslaw (and a standard packet of tartar sauce). Overall, it was really good, not too greasy and not overly battered. Drinks were also good and cold and brought promptly after being drawn. The day we were there, a sports team was there and were pretty boisterous by the time we left, which I can only assume is the status quo for the pub as it is a popular spot for watching hockey games and other sports. The food was good and well-priced but the atmosphere could get annoying to non-sports fans like myself. "

January 2010 — "I headed to this pub for a late lunch with three friends and was pleased with the overall experience. It's a true sports pub in every sense of the word: lots of TV's playing an array of games and a really laid-back, casual vibe. Their main bar is huge and they had lots of beer on tap. I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich with ham and a side salad and it was really good, the bread looked home-made and there was lots of cheese. The ham on it was typical deli-style shaved ham, but good nonetheless. The side salad was basic but really fresh. All of our portion sizes were really generous and our server was very friendly and attentive, too. I was surprised to see lots of families with children, but their food prices are really affordable, so it's a good choice for families and the budget-minded. I would definitely go back, even just for drinks. "
