January 2009 — "The Hop in Brew Pub House is an old house that has been converted into a pub. It's a great old building with hardwood floors, steep staircases and an old hearth from a fireplace that is no longer working. There is only one small bar but the staff do their best to keep the beer flowing as fast as possible. They have board games you can use and it was the perfect place to grab a pint and a pizza and play some scrabble on a cold winter day. It feels like you are hanging out at a friends house. There is some seating upstairs but the primary feature is a pool table.
The Hop in Brew specializes in homemade tasting pizzas with imaginative names. I had the Aloha which consisted of chicken and pineapple on a fabulous homemade crust. It was more than enough food for me and it went well with one (or maybe it was two!) beer. They have a good selection of beer on tap for decent prices. I would highly recommend spending a pizza eating, beer drinking and game playing afternoon or evening at Hop in Brew Pub. "

January 2007 — "I've been going to the Hop n Brew on and off for years and the place rarely (if ever) disappoints. Lately, it's become a favourite after work hangout for Friday drinks among me and my co-workers. The staff are always great... really friendly and happy to recommend a type of beer (they have a bunch of stuff on tap that you might not find elsewhere) for the uninitiated. Watch out for the Goldspur though, as it's a wicked 8 or 9% alcohol! They've got a good food menu and everything I've tried has been really tasty, especially the pizza which is delicious! The pub is located in an old house so there are a bunch of separate rooms to hang out, making the place really cosy. The music is always great, the crowd is very friendly and there is a pool table and foosball table upstairs to keep patrons busy. The Hop n Brew is definitely a fun and friendly spot to head for a quick pint after work or for an entire night out!"

November 2006 — "This pub is set in a house and is really charming. We went for drinks in November, so there were Christmas Lights everywhere, giving the place a very cool atmosphere. They have a good selection of drinks, though they are a bit expensive. The food menu is a bit sparse, but they have great pizza, and on Fridays, a 10 inch is only $9.50 (I think) and it was more than enough for my friend and I to share. We arrived at about 5pm, and the place was pretty dead, but it quickly picked up. There was only one waitress for the whole floor, so the service was slow, but that one waitress was amazing. Something to keep in mind: the ladies bathroom door is really heavy (it's not locked), so don't be afraid to push -- otherwise you may be waiting a while. "

An unassuming yellow Victorian house is the setting for this pub. Service stairs, scrabble, trivial pursuit, books, and foosball are amongst the major attractions.
