December 2011 — "I was in charge of planning the Christmas party for my office this year. I chose Piq Niq because it is small and intimate, and because they offer live jazz downstairs at Beat Niq. I was very pleased with the results of our event, and the owner made everything extremely easy to plan. Our party of 20 was served hors 'douvres and a welcome cocktail upon arrival, followed by a delicious 3 course meal with 4 options for the main course. Everyone was ranting about the food as well as the service. The entire staff were extremely accommodating and made our night very special. I definitely recommend the tenderloin. It was superb. The entire night was very good value and I would like to return to eat out on a date with my boyfriend! The jazz club downstairs was an added bonus, enjoyed by us all. If you are looking for a classy, hassle free place to host your event, look no further! "

September 2009 — "We went to this restaurant for lunch while visiting downtown Calgary on a business conference. It was a nice small little restaurant that felt very cozy. The lunch menu did not have a large variety, but we were each able to find something that we liked. That day they had a quiche special, which I decided to try. The quiche was very nice and flavourful with spinach and cheese. The pastry was nice and light. It came with a house salad that had a variety of mixed greens and a nice light dressing. The prices seemed average for downtown Calgary. The service in the restaurant was very good, despite the fact that we were there on a Friday at noon. The restaurant was full. We were lucky to have arrived early. The atmosphere was nice and cozy and appeared quite clean. Although this is not necessarily a restaurant that I would rush back to, I would certainly go back and recommend others to give it a try. "
