September 2009 — "After a busy weekend in the Canmore area, my family and I decided we needed a good supper with great atmosphere and great service. Well, we were not disappointed with our choice of the Stoney Nakoda Peaks Cafe. We went there expecting to order from the menu and not take the buffet as we had my young Granddaughter with us and we thought we wouldn't be able to partake. Much to our surprise, we were more than welcome to have the buffet and at a very reasonable price. Our server was wonderful and very helpful to us. Once we all saw the buffet, there was no stopping us. The Alberta Beef was the center piece but there were so many other dishes to choose from, that were hot or cold. My one dining mate chose the fresh caught fish and he said it was delicious. I chose the roast beef with fantastic Yorkshires and the au jus was heavenly. We all enjoyed a couple of courses and we look forward to returning here."

September 2009 — "While staying in Canmore over the long weekend, we had trouble making dinner reservations for a group of 12 people. We tried several different restaurants in town. Then we remembered the new Stoney Nakoda Resort and Casino which isn't too far from Canmore. Luckily they were happy to accommodate our party, including children, in the Peaks Cafe. Out of the three dining rooms in the resort, The Peaks Cafe was the only one that allowed children. Our server was friendly and highly recommended their buffet special. After seeing how expensive the other dinner menu items were, the $20 buffet seemed like the logical choice. Children were not allowed in the room that contained the actual buffet though. The buffet had lots to choose from including some wonderful prime rib and really tasty yorkshire puddings. I was a little disappointed in the very few salad or raw vegetable items. Otherwise, dinner was great and our party took full advantage of the buffet."
