February 2008 — "We were looking for something a little different and had heard about Piccolo's from a friend that lives near the restaurant. It is located in a little mall in Brentwood Bay, BC near Butchart Gardens. We were there on a Saturday night just after Valentine's Day and most of the customers were couples. This isn't a very large restaurant but the nicely set up so tables aren't side-by-side but set at angles to offer the appearance of privacy. There is also an upstairs dining area which we didn't see. The menu was quite pricey so we were expecting a fabulous meal. I ordered a stuffed chicken with a tomato sauce. My husband ordered Ragu di Carne and we shared an appetizer of calamari. The calamari was lightly battered and was good. My dinner was very good but lacked the pizazz of presentation we were expecting for the price of the entree. My husband's meal was fine, but he said that I could have made it better (Wasn't that a nice thing to say!?) Overall, while the food was fine, but the prices were a little high for what we got. Glad I went once to give it a try, but not likely to return. "
