December 2010 — "I have been through Blairmore a few times, but this is the first time I've seen the Tin Roof. I recall another restaurant in the same place a few years ago so I assume this is a fairly new establishment. It is housed in a renovated hotel and has great character with a modern twist. The restaurant has a little bar and then some well placed tables perfect to watch the local musicians featured several nights of the week. The roof is tin and gives a retro flavor to the space. We sat by the window and watched it snow and blow (nothing really new in the Crowsnest Pass), feeling nice and cozy. The menu is interesting and varied and includes soups, salads, sandwiches, pizza (which another patron was raving about) and some nice entrees including chicken, steak and pasta. I decided to try out the Portabello Mushroom Ravioli as I'm always in search of good vegetarian food. I was so happy! The ravioli was a la dente, and the portabello was incredibly juicy. The mushrooms had absorbed the sauces beautifully and the overall taste sensation was...sensational. I can't emphasize how nice it is to find a place that is willing to put the time in and create a wonderful vegetarian meal. The whole establishment had a clean and friendly feel to it, and I would highly recommend it as a great place to eat. The server was friendly and very helpful when asked a bunch of questions about accommodations. My meal, including the beer, came to about $20."

November 2009 — "The Tin Roof had been recommended to us by friends who lived in the Crowsnest Pass area, so when we found ourselves in Blairmore, we stopped in to check it out. The server was friendly and made us feel at home. The restaurant was almost empty at about 4:00 Sunday afternoon, but that only enhanced the coziness of the place. The lunch menu offered wraps, pastas, and burgers for around $10. The evening menu included some very interesting entres. For example, chicken breast stuffed with prawns and scallops and covered with a creamy sauce for $19. Striploin Steak (10 oz.) was $22. I opted for Lasagna. (about $16) I was assured that it was created on site with fresh ingredients. I was not disappointed. It was flavourful and juicy. It was definitely worth the time to savour each mouthful. It was a nice contrast to a dry, tasteless lasagna I had had a few days earlier at another establishment. I noted that the Tin Roof has periodic live music nights. The following weekend, in fact, would feature a a guitar player/singer. When in Blairmore again, I will definitely return to the Tin Roof to sample more of their interesting menu. "
