January 2009 — "In recent weeks I've had two good meals at JB's Grill in the Black Knight Inn. We were there early on New Years Eve and the place was full. The waitress was friendly and apologized for not coming right away but we could understand. We ordered drinks and an appetizer of vegetables and dip and then our steak sandwiches. They were worth the wait and the steaks were very nice. A few days later I was back again with a group of friends and this time the place was much quieter. We had the same waitress who took all of our orders without even writing a thing down and managed to get it all spot on. This place has the best steak sandwiches in town and I always like to tell my visitors about it. For $8.25 you get a good sized steak, garlic bread, salad or potatoes. Who could complain about a meal like that!"

November 2008 — "I first heard of JB's Lounge located in the Black Knight Inn when my son was attending Red Deer College. If you ever want to find an inexpensive place to buy a meal all you have to do is ask a college student. I've been going to JB's ever since. JB's is tucked away behind the more formal restaurant in the hotel. The lounge is nicely decorated and the service is always good. There are several TV sets for sports fans to watch their favourite teams play and a few VLT machines in the back, but I have never found this place noisy. They have a good selection on the menu but most of the customers go there for one thing - the steak sandwich. We ordered the steak sandwich off the menu which at $8.25 is good value. It comes with a choice of salad or potato, garlic bread and coleslaw and you can order mushrooms or fried onions at an extra cost. The steak was a nice cut and very tender and there was a generous helping of mushrooms too. JB's Lounge is always consistent with good food and good service. It remains on my "Most Popular" list. "
