January 2012 — "I discovered Avellino’s a while back, after the company I work for relocated to a nearby building. For many months now I have been eating at Avellino’s at least once a week. I have always found the staff to be very friendly and the quality of the food is consistent. While their paninis are good (my favourite is the Avellino), I usually opt for one of their “build your own” salads. You have a choice between three types of greens: spring mix, romaine lettuce or spinach. I usually get spinach and add tuna for my protein (though occasionally I get the chicken, which is a bit salty but good). The deluxe salad allows you to choose eight toppings (not including the meat) and they have a remarkable variety. All of the toppings are very fresh. There is a wide range of dressings to choose from and they ask you to tell them how much to put on, which is great and really ensures that your custom salad is exactly how you want it. It’s certainly filling enough for lunch. Avellino’s also tends to have soda in glass bottles, which I find to be a treat. I really love Avellino’s because it’s nice to get a fresh, healthy lunch for a reasonable price."
