January 2008 — "Since we live just down the street from the Korean Gardens restaurant, and drive by it almost every day, my husband and I finally decided to try it. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very clean, warm and welcoming. The staff were very friendly and they had a ton of items on their menu. I was surprised to learn that they serve just as much sushi as Korean food. I’m not much of a sushi fan, so I chose a Korean dish, but we were sitting right beside the sushi bar and the sushi looked very fresh and the sushi chef took great pride while preparing his dishes. I ordered a beef and vegetable hot pot with rice. It looked so good when it came and I couldn’t wait to dig in. That is until I saw the raw egg sitting on top of my dish. I had no idea this is how it would come and was a bit shocked to see a raw egg on my beef and veggies. My husband told me to quickly stir it in so it would cook while the pot was still hot. I’m not sure if this is what you’re supposed to do, but I did it and the egg seemed to disappear and mix with the rest of my dish. So it wasn’t a big deal after all, but I definitely would have preferred it without the raw egg. It really was delicious though and I will definitely go back and try something different next time. I’m sure my husband would love to try the sushi, so we’ll be back soon."
