June 2011 — "I love Vietnamese food and am always on the lookout for another one to try. In the case of Thanh Long Noodle House, I was a bit taken aback by the atmosphere. For one thing, the floors did not look very clean. I did my best to overlook that and told myself that they were just very busy at the moment. Two employees were evident, and the male's clothes were also quite dirty. It just didn't instill much confidence in the cleanliness of the kitchen. To top it off, he looked angry at the world. In spite of these observations, I was still able to enjoy my Rare Beef Satay Soup for about $10. It wasn't exceptional, but it was enjoyable enough. Other offerings on the menu were a variety of soups, rice vermicelli dishes, and rice dishes. Most plates cost a bit less than $10. For Calgary, the prices are definitely reasonable. The price for wine and beer was a bit less than $5. "

May 2007 — "Thanh Long is on 17th Avenue at 12th street, in the little strip mall with the Mac's store. While the location and decor are nothing spectacular, the food and the owner are amazing!
The menu is relatively simple, but they are happy to customize any item you'd like. When they say spicy, trust me they mean spicy so be careful.
The biggest highlight of Thanh Long is the owner, Bev. She tries to learn everyones name and makes you feel like your visiting your asian grandmothers house. Be careful asking about her grandkids, you may get a 20 min conversation out of it!
Thanh Long has high quality Vietnamese food and you'll always feel welcome."
