November 2007 — "They just opened and I have smelt the place a lot (in a good way) and finally got to check them out. We were the first table in (and out) and was just fine. Menu is nice, has most of the classic options, and some new ones too. Nice setting, not overwhelming with stuff on the walls, music, or other stuff. Plain, simple, tasteful. We didn't have any appies, and good thing as the mains are large. Most are $15-$20 and then you have to order rice ($3-$6) , nan bread ($3-5) or sides/dips ($2) on top of that, but at least the servings are large. For 2 of us, with 2 mains, rice, garlic nans, and a cucumber side (no appies, dessert, beer, etc) it was $50. They REALLY need to do a smaller sized and priced lunch menu. Also have the option of mild, med or hot on all the dishes that is nice. The food was great. We had a mild buttered prawn, and a med chicken tikka masala. Both had lots of meat, vegies, VERY fresh and hot. Nice tastes, etc. The mild had just a bit of zip to it, and the med was not too hot as well. Not sure if fire eaters will be happy with the hot. but I'm sure they can make it zippy for you if you ask. Bathroom is in the back, down the stairs, around the corner, down one step, and thru a door. Maybe this was a bad after thought ? Great food, great place, just pricey for what it is. Use the companies lunch expense card for this one and enjoy."
