January 2008 — "There is no doubt that in Leeds, as with many cities, the best little places to eat are often hidden and off the beaten path. This is definitely the case for Little Tokyo. It is down an alley behind the Rackhams department store, which is on the main shopping street in Leeds City Centre. Inside the restaurant the back part is divided from the front by a small stream and you have to walk over a Japanese style bridge to get to the seating at the back, this in a place that has seating capacity for only about 35 so they have really put the emphasis on ambiance and it works. After much deliberation I ordered a bento box, which included rice with mishima, crispy glass noodle salad, vegetable tempura and Ton Katsu. It was delicious and went down well with a glass of Japanese wine. A great little place and I’d fully recommended it if you like Japanese food. "

April 2007 — "This was one of my favourite restaurants when I lived in Leeds and I try to hit it whenever I go back. What it misses out on its menu (edamame, tsukiyaki), it more than makes up for in the sweet and light ambiance of the place. It has sushi and bento boxes which I've heard are great but never tried - I always go for my same favourites! "
