July 2011 — "I went into this little Kensington place hoping for the next best shawarma. The man at the counter greeted me right away saying "how are you my friend" which is common in Lebanese culture. I noticed right away that there was no meat on any of the skewers. That wasn't a good sign since I like the meat to be fresh and juicy sliced right off the skewer, not sitting in a hot bin drying out.
I ordered the chicken shawarma and it wasn't like any shawarma I've ever had. Typically the chicken is juicy and has that slow roasted grilled flavour but this chicken was yellow from curry spice and tasted like curry. I had my favorite toppings including garlic sauce, tahini, pickled cabbage, etc. and the toppings were quite skimpy. When the man brought my dish to the table, he didn't bring a napkin so I had to go to the counter to get one. Instead of napkins, they had paper towel and it was the cheap kind found in public washrooms which is firm and rough. The building next door was vacant and there was glass so I could see into it. Inside was a woman folding paper towels. How cheap is that?? The tables were laid out confusing and there were too many crammed together. There was also some dirty tables.
Can't say I'll go back. I can find better shawarmas for the same price and they even come with soft napkins."

September 2007 — "Upon entering Shawarma Station I am always greeted by a smiling man known as Sam. He yells, "welcome my friend!" then, with a smile, he quickly asks what he can get for me. It's a great introduction to a good, quick meal. As a vegetarian, I like the Sam's Special Sandwich. I'm not sure what he puts in it—other than falafel, vegetables and and a bunch of sauces and spices—but I know I like it."

Open seven days a week, this little eatery may not be able to seat many people, but it sure can feed a lot. Customers can choose from a variety of chicken and beef wraps or try the Sam's Sandwich, a vegetarian hit.
