September 2011 — "On a recent trip to Drumheller, AB with a couple friends we decided to drop in on a local diner. O'Sheas seemed different and had a little more character than some of the other chain fast food places in town. There isn't a whole lot of choices in such a small city so we were lucky to have stumbled on to O'Sheas just off Highway 9. We were expecting a small pub but the inside was actually quite spacious and comfortable. It was a Sunday afternoon so the brunch goes had already finished as did the lunch crowd. It wasn't busy at all so the service was fast. I ordered the chicken quesdillas which also comes with a side. Quite often the places in small towns can charge an arm and a leg because of the lack of competition but the prices were very fair and the quality of the food was good as well. I'd visit again."
Management Response:
"Henry,
Thank you very much for your comments. We always appreciate hearing from our guests. Good and Bad, I believe guest feedback is the only honest way to know how we are doing so all feedback is appreciated.
I am glad to hear you enjoyed your visit. We hope to see you again the next time you are in Drumheller. "

September 2009 — "We loved it . The staff were wonderful. We played cards, played pool , even a little VLT. The atmosphere was great. Thank you to J. for your wonderful service and your friendly smile. Great drink specials. We felt so comfortable that we spend both evening in your lounge and we had such a great time. Thank You for giving us great memories of our stay in Drumheller."
April 2009 — "My husband and I stayed in Drumheller this weekend, and based on reviews here, we decided to go to O'Sheas for dinner on Friday night. We opted for the pub side since they had the TV's and it is hockey playoff time. We were extremely pleased with the service and the food. Our server (Cristin) was professional, polite, and pleasant -- a delight.
We made a decision to return the next night to watch our favourite hockey team play and asked for a reservation for that same table. It's not usual policy to do so on the pub side, but the manager agreed to extend this courtesy to us and we were very happy.
We also received good information on things to see in the local area, as well as where to go in Drumheller for breakfast (Whif's).
This was a very positive experience and when we go to Drumheller again, as we plan to, we will not be considering going anywhere else but O'Sheas. The hospitality they extended to us was second to none."
March 2008 — "
We were in Drumheller doing the typical tourist things and decided that we should try something a little different. We asked around as to where we could could get the best meal and received semi mixed reviews betwween O'Shea's and Stavros. So we decided to try both because we would be in town for 2 nights. So we went to Stavros first because O'Shea's was packed and there was a wait list without reservations. I was kind of upset after I saw the decor in the restaurant it is so beautiful and really well taken care of.
We went over to Stavros and it couldn't have been more the opposite. The decor was tacky and colors didn't match, one wall was two different colors because they filled a wall in or something to make the lounge bigger. The cutlery on our tables didn't even match.. The service was slow, 40 minutes for a chicken ceasar sald, lasagne, mid rare steak sandwich and our appetizers came out with the meal. The server was nice and everything but when she messed up on another table her Manager threw something at her. I was embarassed for the poor girl..
Then next night we went to O'Shea's we called ahead to be sure and gotin before their busy time started. While we were being sat I noticed people coming from all kinds of directions and inquired about it, turns out they had a lounge on the other side. We peaked in and were astounded, it was so neat, there is a huge table int he middle of the room fro groups, counches by a fireplace, a huge patio, the bar was beautiful and it was busy but the mood was perfect for all the patrons. There were people in there ranging from 20 - 65 and they were all having a good time.
Our server was awsome he knew what he was doing and was very pleasant. The menu is huge and the prices are reasonable for the portion size. We ordered some of their boneless chicken wings and they are to die for (they even came in about 10 minutes). We had a seafood fettucine, mid rare ribeye steak, spinach salad. It took about 20 minutes and everything was perfect, my husband didn't even need salt and pepper for his steak dinner.
We were so pleased with our meal and experience that we bought gift certificates for some friend to make the drive from Calgary to Drumheller just for a meal. Way to go O'Shea's and our server was the best server we have ever had."
September 2007 — "There are limited restaurants to eat at in Drumheller. But O'Sheas Eatery and Ale House by the Ramada hotel is a good choice. It is a cozy pub with hard wood floors, big wooden tables and a fireplace. There is a huge high set table in the middle of the room that sits about 15 people and would be great for a team dinner or beer.
I had a salmon sandwhich with spinach salad for dinner. The salmon sandwhich had caper mayonaise and was good but a little bland and the bun was only ok. It could have used a little extra flavour. The house dressing on the spinach salad was very good. They have a good selection of beers and have drink specials every day. We were there on a Monday afternoon and our pints of beer were only $3. It's tough to beat that!
There is lots to do at the pub as they have a pool table, some video games and a pile of board games and card games to play. It's a great place to have a good pub meal and a good Irish pint!"
September 2007 — "After an afternoon of learning about dinosaurs at the Tyrell Musuem, a friend and I were feeling pretty hungry. We decided to head to The Last Chance Saloon in Wayne, about 10 minutes outside of Drumheller, as we'd heard it was an historic spot and hoped it would be a fun place to grab a bite. Unfortuntely, when we got there it was not our style. Very, very smokey!
So, we headed back to Drumheller and were famished by the time we go there. We headed straight for O'Shea's, betting that an Irish pub would have a big menu and offer some tasty stuff. We were right! We both ordered salmon burgers with side spinach salads and shared a side of fries. Granted, we were both so hungry pretty much anything would have tasted great, but the salmon burgers were great. They were smothered in caper mayo, which made the meal. The salad and fries were good as well. It was all typical pub fare, but was very good.
They had a decent drink selection and for two people used to Calgary prices, drinks were incredibly cheap! The service was good and the interior was typical of a Canadian-Irish pub. For anyone who is hungry after a day in Drumheller, O'Shea's will not disappoint. "
Offering a casual dining experience and great food, O'Shea's serves classic pub fare, including burgers, Shepherd's Pie, fish & chips, bangers and mash, steak and more. A kids' menu is also available.
