October 2008 — "This little restaurant is one of the hidden little gems of the Alberta Avenue area. El Rancho Spanish Restaurant specializes in Salvadorean cuisine, and their Salvadorean food is super-authentic. Their also include some Mexican dishes on their menu . . . these vary in their authenticity. However, in all cases the quality and serving sizes are great, and the prices are fair for what you recieve. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, and the staff are friendly and warm. I have been eating there for several years now, and have always been happy to recommend the restaurant to others. Only one warning: the service is slow. Most of the food is prepared from scratch and it is a family run operation; be prepared to be patient. You will not be disapoointed. "
