January 2010 — "I went to romeos at Broadmead village, 2 days in a row. The first time was for lunch, my car was getting some work done and I need to kill some time and it just happened to be around lunch time. My son and I went in and shared a quesadilla, served with caeser salad. We also tried the calamari and decided to have it with the greek salad. Both items were fine. The next day we were in Victoria late for a sporting event and we had rushed to get to the game on time and didn’t have a chance for dinner prior. It was about 930 pm and on a Tuesday. The only place we could think on the way home and that the kitchen would be open was Romeos. They had their individual pizzas and pasta on special for $8.99. All 4 of us decided to try the specials, which ranged from the baked fettuccine with clam sauce, the baked ravioli, the spinach pizza and the Mediterranean pizza. Again everything was fine. The waitress both times were attentive and refilled the pops frequently. Prices are comparable to other places. I thought the food was fairly good value for a family friendly restaurant. The restaurant decor was your basic pizzeria/Italian flare and certainly seemed clean enough, including the washrooms. I would probably go back if in the area and was looking for a quick bite. They had a variety of items on the menu that most could find something suitable."

"Decent Italian/Greek Fare"

June 2009 — "Since we live pretty close to the Romeos on Hillside, we have been there quite a few times in the last year. Some days are better than others for this restaurant. The pizzas are good, lots of variety and well prepared, but the prices for the pizza are not cheap. The baked pastas in tomato sauce are tasty, but skip anything with alfredo or white sauce which are overly rich and not very tasty. The souvlai, calamari, and greek salad are all quite good. The service has been decent, but the last time we were there, we ordered a potato skin appetizer. The dish that arrived was very small, 4 small little skins with inadequate toppings on them. At $10, we really expected a few more skins and when we mentioned it to the manager, he basically told us "tough luck". While everything has been fine, there are enough restaurants in Victoria that we don't feel the need to go back soon. Other portion sizes are normally fine, but this was definitely not."

"#1 Family Choice"

August 2007 — "If we ask the kids where they want to go for dinner, they always pick Romeo's Pizza. The pizza is always good whether eating in or take out and they will make up whatever you want. On most evenings, especially on the weekends, this is a very busy place so you need to be a little patient while you wait for a seat. Generally the wait isn't too bad - this is a big place and they are very efficient in getting your order to you. Portions are a good size and we almost always take some food home. The pasta dishes are very good as is the pizza and the spanakopita and greek salad. They offer a variety of alcoholic beverages and are good with a shirley temple for the kids. But the draw for the kids to Romeo's is the dessert. They have mile high chocolate cake, hot homemade apple pie and cheescakes - all very decadent. This is a great place to bring a crowd or have a dinner for two. The food is always good and the service is always excellent. This is one of the few places that I would rate 10 out of 10 as the best place to go with a family."
