"Grab a Bite in Camrose"

December 2009 — "O'Sheas is easy to access as you enter Camrose from Highway 13. It is just off the right hand side of the road. The restaurant is quite large, containing a seperate dining area and bar & lounge. I liked its atmosphere and it was friendly, cozy and classy. We sat beside the fire place, which was an added bonus. We ordered bruchetta with plain nacho chips for an appetizer. The bruchetta was unreal. It tasted like it was hommade. Though, it was a bit spicey. For lunch I ordered the Shepard's Pie. This was a great choice on a cold winter day. My mom ordered curry chicken on rice. She was happy with this dish too. The staff was friendly and the service was quick. Prices were average and the restaurant fully met expectations. I would defintely eat here again. It seems to be one of the better places to eat in Camrose. "

"Stylish Pub"

Save Review

August 2009 — "This is a very stylish pub on the outskirts of Camrose and well worth stopping in for a meal and a drink. We had lunch there recently and ordered off their "Quick Serve" lunch menu. We've heard that their fish and chips are as authentic as you can get this side of the "pond". We tried out the fish and weren't disappointed. The meal was delicious - the fish wasn't greasy at all and there was a generous portion on the plate. Other diners in our party had the Shepherds Pie and thought that was one of the best renditions of that dish they've had in a long time. The service was good and the interior nicely decorated. Their lunch time meals are very reasonably priced and with such quick service I would think this would be a popular place for lunch time meals. I'd like to come back in cooler weather and see their beautiful fireplace in action."

"Awesome!"

July 2008 — "This restaurant is very good! We went there 3 times in July. Our family can't wait to go back there, but as we are from Northwestern Ontario it's not going to be as soon as we would like. The service was good and the prices were great. I would highly recommend the boneless chicken wings - the are very addicting. The menu was very good - something for everyone. "

"Cozy Irish country cottage dinning"
Image

Save Review

May 2008 — "Driving up to this restaurant, which is centrally located in Camrose, it looked like a large Irish country cottage. The bottom half of the building is made of large river rocks and the upper parts look like green turrets of a castle. The inside is decorated much the same. There were fireplaces and stained glass windows separated the bar/ lounge from the dinning room. The waiter was very pleasant. He was prompt with our menus and taking our drink orders. The restaurant was busy and so our waiter was busy after taking our drink orders and did not return for some time. Upon his return, we ordered our meals. The menu had a bit of everything from Shepard’s pie to quesadillas. I ordered the chicken quesadilla, and my fiancée ordered the salmon and shrimp with seasonal vegetables. Our food took a while to arrive, but our waiter came around a few times to fill up our coffees, waters and beers. Once our food arrived, it was quite good. The seasonal vegetables were sautéed in a sweet plumb sauce with the shrimp and poured over the salmon. My quesadilla was tasty, but could have used a bit more cheese to hold it together. For dessert, we ordered the bread pudding. Unfortunately, the restaurant was very busy when we ordered it and it took about 20 minutes to arrive. Once it did arrive, it was good, made properly with raisins and real cream poured over it. The washrooms were at the very back of the restaurant, past the bar, past the kitchen, down the back hall. They were fairly clean. Our bill was reasonable at about $45 for the two of us, including tip and taxes. I would return to this restaurant, but would hope to find more attentive, faster service. "

"Great place to eat"

October 2007 — "When you walk in the door to this restaurant it is very welcoming. They have Irish music playing at a reasonable volume. It’s not too loud that you can’t converse with others in your dining party but the restaurant definitely is an Irish theme. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the restaurant and washroom. I dined at 1:20 pm so it was not at a busy time. I ordered the quesadilla (onion, cheese and tomato) with potato and cheddar soup. The soup was thick with a bit of a kick (spice) but not overpowering. You have your choice of fries, salad or soup with the quesadilla. The service was very fast and friendly. The waiter checked on my party a couple times during the meal but never seemed intrusive. You get a good portion of food for your money. I would rate this restaurant a 9.5 out of 10."

"Wouldn't Return"

September 2007 — "I visited the lounge yesterday with three of my friends. We ordered our food waited 45 minutes and never recieved anything. When we asked our waitress where the food was she replied that the restaurant was busy and she was sorry we had to wait. We told we were really hungry and to canel our food. SHe said she would check on it and returned with our food. It was cold and I mean cold the pasta sat out so long that there was no longer any sauce on it. We then told our waitress that this was unacceptable and we were leaving. She said she would get a manager but one never came. We left money on the table for our drinks and the food we did have and walked out. "

"Great Dining Experience"
Image

Save Review

September 2007 — "O'Shea's Eatery and Ale House is one of the newest dining establishments in Camrose. The dining room is designed in such a manner that most areas provide privacy for the patrons' enjoyment, with a separated area that can seat a party of up to approximately 30 people for a special occasion. Not only is the ambience of the dining room a reminder of a British facility; the ale house encourages the comaradrie of a pub with a supply of board games. Both entities are non-smoking environments which makes for a pleasant experience for many of us. We were a party of eight, and the server was quietly efficient in taking our orders for pre-dinner beverages. We did not feel rushed as he came back a couple of times to see if we were ready to order. The menu is quite extensive. Not only are meat dishes featured, seafood is high on the list. I chose a planked salmon with a tossed salad, and mixed vegetables. The salmon was very tasty, and not overcooked. The one issue I have is with the lack of presentation. When a tasty meal such as this is served with the salmon half hidden under salad, it doesn't do justice to the preparation. Surprisingly, of the eight people, only two of us chose the salmon, and everyone else had a different choice. Choices ranged from fettucini to chicken neptune, shepherd's pie, halibut, or fish and chips. There were no negative comments from any of us about quality or quantity. Our prices ranged from about $12.00 to $19.00 per entree, which is very reasonable when going out for a good dining experience."

"Old World Charm"

Save Review

June 2007 — "O'Shea's, next to Ramada Inn, arrived in Camrose with a good reputation from Drumheller. It is cozy with a taste of Old World Charm. Having dined there before, I chose it for a special occasion with three friends. Reservations are recommended. I requested the fireplace room as it is most appealing. Table space allows for private conversation. A friendly hostess met and seated us. We were given the name of our server who took drink orders and delivered lemon water. The house wine was light and the amber draught full-bodied. The specialty drink should have been in a prettier glass. Oh, yes, and one of the glasses had lipstick stain which was promptly taken care of by the waiter. It took time to order as the menu is varied with pub fare and a full dinner menu. The steak sandwiches were tender and cooked as requested. Tasty dilled salmon with pasta Alfredo had a generous portion of salmon. A white chocolate dessert was shared with plates and forks provided. Price averaged $20. for food and drinks. Definitely a place I enjoy taking guests. "
