June 2010 — "My friend who lives in Bragg Creek took me to the Chuckwagon restaurant for breakfast. I enjoyed it so much we went twice. Both times we were there mid-week and although a busy place we found a table quickly. The menu had excellent choices. They use their own free range beef. It's amazing. Quality beef for a great cost.
I found the service prompt and friendly. The food was incredibly tasty and well presented. I had Huevos Rancheros the first time and the Steak and eggs the second visit. Both large filling meals. The coffee was good and the pie... mmm delicious. The steak (rib eye) was some of the best I've had.
It's excellent tasty home-made style food and the best beef you'll find. Really good prices on the meals and worth it. "

July 2007 — "I think this place must be a local institution. I'd never heard of the Chuckwagon restaurant until it was recommended to us by someone in neighbouring Black Diamond, but when we got there at about 9am on a Sunday morning, it was packed. The restaurant, which looks like it's been converted from an old barn, has quite a lot of tables despite its small size and every table was full.
Still, we only had to wait about 15 minutes to sit down. The service was very pleasant but not completely attentive. We had to grab a lot of stuff ourselves or signal the server to ask for things, because it was taking a while for her to come over. They were very busy however, so we understood that she was probably quite rushed.
The food came quickly and I thought it was very good. I ordered a Spanish omlette and it was huge! It was very flavourful and came with a side of hashbrowns, which were delicious. The food was definitely the best part, which is how a breakfast place should be I guess.
The only other things that really stick out in my mind is that our table was a bit sticky despite being wiped and it was quite hot inside. If you're going in summer it's probably a good idea to go early, before it starts to heat up outside. "

July 2007 — "The Chuchwagon Restaurant kind of resmebles a small, wooden barn but it is a charming little country restaurant. The Sunday morning we went there for breakfast, it was very busy and we had to wait about 15 minutes. It is quite small inside so seating is limited.
It was very tough to decide what to order. The menu had many options that appealed to me and the food at all the surrounding tables looked fantastic. I ended up having the french toast and it was really good. The hashbrowns they serve are those big chunky kind that seem homemade. Everyone I was with enjoyed their meals as well.
The service was good in general although we had to ask for extra condiments and keep reminding them that we wanted coffee refills. They did over charge me for my meal but they were quick to apologize and to fix it. Although a little bit overpriced, the Chuckwagon Restaurant is known in the Turner Valley/ Black Diamond area as the best place to have breakfast."
