March 2011 — "Milestones Grill and Bar located on Wharf street might be a chain style restaurant company but it’s an inspiring place to experience food and a wonderful atmosphere.
When we arrived, the restaurant we were greeted by the hostess and we noticed it was quite busy and we had about a ten minute wait for a table and there were a few people ahead of us and after us waiting for a table as well.
When we were seated our server was at our table within moments taking our drink order. Our server was very nice and efficient with our drink order. The menu is very extensive and moderately priced. I ordered the Grilled Seafood salad and my friends had the Milestones specialty flame grilled burger. My salad was a very generous portion, full of fresh seafood, and simply amazing flavors! My friend said the burger was one of the best burgers he’s had in awhile. Throughout our meal our server was very attentive and I noticed how busy the restaurant became over a small period of time. I would recommend reservations, and to bring your appetite. I will be defiantly returning to Milestones to experience the menu and atmosphere.

"Great Harbour Views"

January 2010 — "They have recently renovated and redesigned the interior of Milestones downtown, and did and excellent job. It has a nice new-age feel, but maintains a nice warm ambiance perfect for downtown Victoria. Located in the inner harbour, the location is obviously a winner, and is a very nice place for a lunch or dinner. (If you are going just as a couple, there is one table in the far corner where both seats face the windows out towards the water, and is worth trying to get if you can). They also have a great patio for during the summer, but will not take reservations here.
We were here last for lunch, and I had a chicken ceasar salad claiming to be the "Best Ceasar Salad in the World". This is a big claim, and unfortunately did not live up to the hype. It was very good, and the chicken was deliciously moist and tender, but best ceasar salad ever is just too much. I probably would have been totally satisfied if they had not claimed this. Maybe better to under promised and over delivered?!
Don't take this too hard, the service, food and ambiance are great, (just not the best EVER!)"

"Great Spot on the Harbour"

December 2009 — "Milestones has locations in various cities but the setting for the one in Victoria is spectacular. Located on the Inner Harbour in Victoria the view adds to the ambiance of an already very nice setting. The restaurant appears to be fairly new but I would guess that it has been there for many years. It is clean with large booth seating. I think most seats have a view of the harbour. The serving staff were very attentive even considering this was during a very busy lunch time just before the Christmas holidays. The menu is very comprehensive but a little pricey for pickey eaters. I guess if you want to cut back on the cost you could enjoy one of the creative appetizers on the menu. I had the butternut squash ravioli. It was fabulous and I would go back there just to have that again. My friend had a seafood dish that was equally as good. I don't think you can go wrong here. I don't think I would bring my kids here because it is a little pricey but I would definitely go back. "

December 2009 — "My Boyfriend and I had an afternoon to ourselves, without our daughter, and we wanted to go for lunch. So we chose Milestones. I would highly recommend this restaurant. We didn't want to spend a lot of money, but we wanted to go somewhere nice. We got a beautiful table at the tip of the restaurant, that over looks the inner harbor. You can watch all the harbor traffic and enjoy people watching too if you are interested.
My Boyfriend ordered the Chicken Caesar Salad ($12), and I had the lunch combo which included a cup of Butternut squash soup, a Grilled Portabella sandwich served on a ciabatta bun, and a green salad ($10)..... my lunch was delicious. I also had a Spicy caesar that was very good as well. I could have stayed the afternoon, but we had places to go. My boyfriend enjoyed his salad, however, the menu did claim that it was the BEST CAESAR IN THE WORLD, that is a hard claim to make. The salad was good, we will leave it at that.
Service was good, they took a reservation for us no problem. And seeing as though we were not there to stay too long, we were in and out of there no problems at all.
We will be back."

November 2009 — "This is one of those places that has a prime spot but lacks in the quality of food. It's located right on the Inner Harbor, next to the Victoria tourism office, where all the tourists gather.
The decor inside was nice and looked similar to other upscale grills. We went there at 7:30 on a Friday and it was packed but I guess that's not surprising. We were actually kind of surprised to get a seat and we must have gotten the last one behind a pillar blocking our view of the harbor.
I ordered the "Sesame Shiitake Mushroom Sea Bass" and my boyfriend ordered the sirloin steak. Neither of us were impressed with our food. I found my sea bass to be way too salty. The shiitake mushrooms were served on the side in a sesame oil which tasted fairly good, but didn't like the fact that it was luke warm temperature."

September 2009 — "Milestones Grill and Bar has one of the best locations in Victoria, situated just beneath the tourism office in the Inner Harbour. It has a spectacular view of the harbour and is a great place to sit back with a drink and relax. Because of its great location, it is best to make a reservation especially during the busy times as the place is popular with both tourists and locals. We had a party of eight on a Friday night so a reservation was made and we had a great table at the far end of the restaurant alongside the window. Our server was quick and efficient and did a great job as the restaurant was busy. I started off with a beer before deciding on the ‘American Burger’ which is topped with double smoked bacon and cheddar. At $7 for a beer and $13 for the burger, prices are on the steeper side but the burger was excellent. The only thing which I was not a fan of was the curly fries. My spouse had the Chicken Caesar salad and that was also enjoyable plus was a large portion. Milestones is a good place for a meal but make a reservation."

September 2008 — "This was a nice surprise. Located in Langford near the big box stores we did not expect to find such a nice restaurant. When we walked in the front door it was immediately obvious that we had underestimated the quality of the restaurant. Lots of stone work, high ceilings and bright colors. The hostess showed us to our table right away. We were seated in a very private booth. I noted that all of the seating was booth style. The waitress didn`t take long to come by either. We ordered our drinks and spent some time looking over the menu. The menu was very extensive and with a variety of interesting things to choose from. We decided to split dishes so we could try more. I ordered popcorn shrimp with caesar salad. My friend ordered the spinach dip with bread. Everything we had was very good and the service was great. I love the ambiance of the place with the stone and glass walls. The ceilings were high and the seating was spacious. I would definitely go back. This is a family friendly restaurant and next time I will bring my children. "
