August 2009 — "This is a happening pub in the downtown core of Victoria! The decor is a step above your average pub and it's two stories high. Seems like there are seats in every nook and cranny so even on a busy Friday night, you can always find a seat somewhere, at least I've been able to. They have music on Friday and Saturday nights which adds to the noise of all the patrons but hey, noise is what it's about in a pub right?"

January 2009 — "This has got to be one of the nicest pubs I have ever been in. It has obviously been recently renovated. The building is a very old bank building located in the downtown core of Victoria. We were there on a Saturday afternoon and had no problem finding a table. The waitress said the pub is very popular on Friday and Saturday evenings and often has a band playing. The ceilings were very high and the wood was a a highly polished dark wood. The second floor offers a view of the first floor and is very cozy. The menu was very extensive and the beer selection was varied. Obviously the Guiness products were featured. Not being a Guiness fan I was still able to find something to my liking as the beer selection was quite good. After reviewing the menu I settled on a burger because I figured if all the food was good the burger would probably be great. My friend had fish and chips. And as I thought, my burger was good as was my friend's meal. Sitting on the second floor we were able to watch the clientele coming and going. This is certainly a busy place. Some patrons looked settled in while many seemed to come in for a beer and go. I loved the ambiance of this place. It didn't hurt that the food and service was excellent too. Definitely a must check out when visiting Victoria!"

July 2008 — "This pub is authentically Irish, so relaxed and welcoming! The staff is great and very accommodating. The selection of beer is mesmerizing!! Ask the staff for a recommendation, they are very good at suggest tasty new beers. The quality of food and beverages are outstanding. From the moment we walked in and to the moment that we walked out, it was an awesome experience. The next time I am in Victoria, I am definitely going back. I highly recommend this pub."

April 2008 — "My wife and I ordered a couple of beers and the appetizer platter as our first experience at Irish Times Pub. While the beers were delicious, the platter was very average, perhaps even below average. The taste and freshness just wasn't there. In fact, I couldn't even eat the little spareribs because they were so tough and chewy. The platter cost $30.
Won't be going back for the food..."

March 2008 — "One of my favourite pubs in Victoria and since my last here, it seems to lots of people's favourite pub. The Irish Times is centrally situated on Government avenue and features live music every evening. We visited at lunchtime and managed to get a table along the window which gave a nice view of the passing foot traffic. The menu is impressive and varied and leaves you saying that you will have to come back as there are so many things you may want to try. There is also a nice selection of locally brewed beers and reasonably priced too. I settled on their Irish bacon and brie burger which was good and filling while my spouse tried the Guiness Braised Lamb Schank. We both enjoyed our meals although we did feel we have had better meals their in the past. Overall, we were still happy with atmosphere and two meals, two beers and tip cost us $50.00. We will go back to try another dish on the menu in the future."
