April 2011 — "previously i had tasted ramen noodle soup at kintaro on denman street in vancouver and was never able to find another until i visited daidoco. you order at the counter pay and wait at the table. when the food is ready they will bring the order to your table. the ramen soup flavor i had with chicken was definitely authentic, delicious. they only open mon-fri and unfortunately only do lunch. weekend and stat are closed. i believe in their cooking they only use organic ingredients from a local farm in metchosin.
menu selection isn't great but when addressing flavor, quality and reasonable portions are served. Opens at 11:00 am but by noon the line up starts and frequently tables are taken to a full house. daily specials are offered and popular with customers. situated on courtney street and hidden inside. look for a sign board placed outside the building. to enter entrance look for a convenience store on your left. atmosphere inside cosy typically japanese. seating are limited to a maximum of 22. they only have 3 employees. owner, cook and a hired help."

June 2008 — "My experience at Daidoco has consistently been a good one. The staff is very friendly, the atmosphere cosy and the food is great! On this particular day, my sister and I ordered a hot tofu with vegetables dish and the salmon-don. The hot tofu dish is more than enough for one person and has a milky and somewhat sweet/sour taste to it. I love this dish and for how little I paid, I get to take some home! The salmon-don is a cold dish with raw sliced salmon on top of a bowl of rice. I'm not sure what they use for spices but my sis and I shared both dishes and loved them! Total came to $9 (no, this is not a type-o)!
Daidoco is located by the bug zoo and is truly a hole-in-the-wall restaurant. The food disappears quickly as there's always a line up during lunch hour. They serve small vegetable tapas (with and without seafood) as well as desert. Their main menu is very short but no matter what you choose to enjoy, you won't be disappointed!"
