August 2008 — "When we went in we really didn't expect much. The pub is dark and didn't look like it would be a great restaurant. But we were pleasantly surprised. We took a seat by the window so we could watch the activities on the street and enjoy the sunshine. The tables were the high pub style. Our waitress was over to bring us menus right away. She was very helpful in helping us decide on a beverage. We ended up sharing a half litre of wine - one that she recommended. Left to decide on our lunch we looked over the very extensive menu. In the end we decided to each have a french onion soup and then share the spinach salad. The salad was huge and easy to share. I really enjoyed the soup. We both felt that the portions were large and we very much enjoyed our time at the pub. I would definitely go again. The service was very good and the food was excellent. The tables were not close together and we could talk about anything. "
