August 2009 — "Fat Franks Bigger Better Bite on Rice Howard Way is a quick and delicious option for lunch time and is an absolute fixture in Edmonton’s downtown. As the name suggests, this little booth sells a small but tasty variety of hot dogs and sausages, including the delectable cheddar and jalapenos smokies. For under five bucks you can have a hot dog and a drink. The booth is set up for most of the spring, summer and fall months, as far as I can tell, and boasts a side table with the largest selection of hot dog toppings that I’ve ever seen. And to top it off, the topping table is strategically set up in the only nearby sliver of shade while the vendor is at the mercy of Mother Nature. The hot dogs are cheap and the line moves fast, giving you more time to capitalize on the great summer weather and Edmonton’s beautiful downtown center."
