February 2012 — "I had heard lots of good word of mouth around the new COBS bakeries in town and decided to check out all the hype for myself recently and I was sure glad I did. COBS is a small chain of bakeries with roots in Australia that has recently expended to opening stores in Canada including Calgary. They pride themselves on baking up some of the freshest bread you have ever tasted, and all hot out of the oven daily. The store front I visited was located at a strip mall in the Crowfoot outdoor mall which can be a hassle to navigate at times. The store is located in the same section as the Wendy's and Boston Pizza. There was lots of options to pick from whether its sourdough, multi-grain, or white as well as a display case full of sugary baked treats. The loaves of bread are so fresh it gets sliced right in front of your eyes. There are new flavors each week and I'd highly recommend the fantastic scones."
