July 2009 — "The inside of Sunshine Family Restaurant reminds me of restaurant you would find in an office building. The decor is nothing special or memorable, but they offer a decent selection of lunch choices. I always go there for the crispy chicken wrap with onion rings. The chicken inside the wrap is delicious and the onion rings are nicely battered. I grew up in the Red Deer area and have been dining at Sunshine for years. It was only recently that I left the restaurant disappointed for the first time. The last time I was there I found the food good, like usual, but the restaurant's service had taken a poor turn. We waited a long time for the waitress to take our order and to deliver the bill. Not once during our meal did the waitress come over to ask if we needed anything. I'm hoping the bad service we experienced was just a one off thing at Sunshine and not a new trend. I guess I will find out next time...."

November 2008 — "This restaurant is tucked away in a corner of Red Deer's Parkland Mall and is one of my favourite places to stop and get away from the shopping crowds. The restaurant offers a large selection of western and chinese dishes and the food is always tasty and well presented. There are daily specials posted on the board outside which usually include a roast dinner and a chinese dish. I usually order their crispy chicken wrap and soup special for lunch and I'm never disappointed. The servings are large and the prices are very reasonable. They also have a large selection of drinks on the menu as well as beer and wine for those who want something a little stronger than tea or coffee with their meal. The restaurant is very clean, the rest rooms are spotless and the service is good. This is a far better place to eat and carry on a conversation than the busy food court at the mall."
