January 2009 — "My husband and I went on a double date with our friends and decided to try out this restaurant. After seating ourselves in the lounge area we ordered our drinks and food. It wasn't until we received our food that the problems began. The appetizers of scallops were way overcooked. My shrimp was overcooked and steak was as well, and my husbands steak was well done when he had ordered it Medium rare. Our friends orders weren't the greatest but nothing that big to complain about. Not once through the entire meal did the waitress return to see how our meal. Once she returned, we stated our complaints about the food as she began clearing our plates. The waitress, responded with a "Why didn't you tell me right away?" We explained we would have if she had returned to the table when we attempted calling her over. She cleared our dishes and did not offer to have anything done about it. My husband also asked for another drink at this time, which she did not bother bringing one back, even after waiting for 20 minutes.
We then received our bill which we had been charged for 2 additional drinks, one was never ordered and the one for my husband was never brought to us. After disputing this with the waitress and attempting to find resolution in regards to the food issues as well, we ended up paying the bill and walked away unhappy and unsatisfied. Attempted to speak with a manager afterwards and we were told that there was nothing they could do as the waitresses story contradicted ours. So much for pleasing the customers.
All in all, the service (at least from our waitress) was less than satisfactory. The meal was not worth the money we spent. We will never return to this location ever again and would not recommend it for anyone looking for a relaxed and pleasant experience."

October 2007 — "My work days are busy and I don't always have time to go out for lunch. We started ordering lunch from The Ranch House Restaurant. We call ahead of time, place our order and then go to pick it up 20 - 30 minutes later. The staff is friendly on the phone, the orders have always been correct and we have not had to wait for our order when we get there to pick it up. The prices are the same as what is on their menu. They are priced a little bit high for lunch but for a fresh, hot meal it is worth it. My favorite entree so far is the Peppercorn Chicken that comes with potatoes and vegetables. It is really excellent. The homestyle burgers are also very good and they come with delicious french fries.
We have also had dinner at The Ranch House and the restaurant is quiet, with low lighting and the atmosphere is something between casual and fancy. The restaurant is kept very clean and the staff are always helpful."

DescriptionThis steak and seafood cookhouse serves a variety of dishes inspired by classical Canadian cuisine. They do not accept reservations, but are open every day of the week apart from Sunday. The whole family is welcome to come in for a bit.
