September 2011 — "Mr. Mikes is connected by an indoor hallwall to the Coast Edmonton East Hotel. Our server was energetic and friendly. I ordered the Sweet Fire Chili Bowl. Lucky for me the server asked if I would like it lightly spiced. Normally I like spicy food but I decided it would be easier to add spice than take it away and so I took it lightly spiced. It was just right. The bowl included red peppers, broccoli, rice, shrimp and more and tasted great. The sweet Thai chili sauce permeated everything. One thing that was a bit odd for me was that the tables seemed too high or the bench seats were too low, but I felt like I was a little child again. For dessert I had Rocky Madness, a delicious blend of chocolates. Another thing that I liked was that the people cooking were on display and you could watch them prepare the food. The bathroom was nice and clean too and all the servers were smiling and inviting. Mr. Mikes was the best of the three meals I had in Edmonton East. "

September 2011 — "Located in the Coast East Edmonton Hotel, Mr. Mikes has a relaxed and casual atmosphere with both a restaurant and lounge. It was nice to be able to see the cooks working and it was apparent the kitchen was sparkling clean. The prices are very reasonable with the usual array of appetizers, soups, salads, entrees and desserts. I chose the Cascadia Salad with candied pecans, dried cranberry and goat cheese on a bed of lettuce with a grapefruit vinaigrette for about $8. It was a good-sized meal and very satisfying with just the right amount of dressing. My husband and I split a dessert called Rocky Madness, a cake with pecans, caramel, chocolate shavings, fudge and whipped cream for $7. It was quite small considering the price, but still tasty. Our server was very nice, the restaurant was clean, and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone staying at the Coast Hotel."

January 2008 — "Went for dinner with my family to the Sherwood Park , AB location in the Best Western hotel. My husband and I both ordered steak dinners med-well as well as 1 litre of wine. My daughter ordered the ribs and a virgin billini. It took over 20 mins to get our drink order and our daughter didn't get her drink. When the wine arrived in the carafe it looked like alot less than 1 litre so I questioned the manager who then came to tell us they didn't make billini's (20 mins. later) and when she examined the carafe agreed it was less than 1/2 litre. She told our daughter she would make her a peach drink and return with more wine for us. A strawberry drink was brought to the table and we were then told they didn't have anymore of the wine. I guess they just figured we wouldn't notice in the first place! When our meals finally arrived remember we both ordered the same steak, mine was well done and my husbands was still bleeding! At this point we have been sitting waiting for about 45mins for our food. I asked for the manager again who confirmed the steaks were not cooked correctly. She offered to bring new ones, which we declined since we had already wasted an hour of our time for worse service than you get at a bad fast food joint. She said she would take our steaks off the bill. We will never go back or reccommend this place to anyone. We will be sure to share this experience with anyone who will listen. Went home hungry, angry and with $60.00 less in our pocket."
