August 2009 — "I went to Mykonos Restaurant with 2 friends. We shared the Saganaki and Calamari appetizers. The Saganaki was set on fire at the table in a cute little kitschy way... I didn't care much for it as the server lacked enthusiasm but that's OK. It tasted good and was very creamy. The calamari was good, but a little soggy. Not bad, but nothing great. I had the lamb shank as a main and it was nothing special either. My two friends had the moussaka and Pastitso as part of a Trio plate as well as the lamb chops... both were very disappointed. I really liked the side salad my meal came with, but the potatoes were way too lemony and not good at all. My glass of Laloudi wine was delicious and the highlight of the meal. Service was very slow. Ambiance... not very memorable. I doubt I'll revisit. Opa? Nope-a! Restaurant Haiku: Saganaki burns Lamb shank and potatoes turn I will not return "

"Edible food"

July 2009 — "A couple of friends and I went to Mykonos Greek Restaurant & Lounge for a change of pace, compared to our usual Chinese food. It was definitely different. This Greek restaurant is located on center street and only about 15 minutes walk from Chinatown and with some parking spaces in the front. Make sure you park close to the curb. It has that basic white and blue look and walking in, you get use to and comfortable with the decor after a while. There was some variety on the menu, and the prices are not too bad either. The majority of our table ordered the special and I had the lamb shank. It was nothing I can rave about. It was edible. The potatoes that came with it was a little too lemony for my liking. Looking beside me, I saw that they had a little bit of everything - some salad, moussaka, skewers and potatoes, so it was super good for the variety on the plate, but I didn't hear anyone talking up the food. All in all, it was a good experience. If anything, the service was good. Our glasses were never empty and you could always get a smile from the waiters. "

"Great Food but Lacking Elsewhere"

December 2008 — "We arrived at Mykonos on a Saturday night around 7pm, prime restaurant time. If a restaurant is not full during that time, something must be wrong. We had visited Mykonos in August and the specials were exactly the same, even though it was four months later. We were greeted by an elderly lady who filled our water and who immediately tried to force me to switch seats with my girlfriend because she might be cold. Like always, the food was great. I had the lamb shank special and my girlfriend always gets the chicken Souvlaki platter. We decided to start with some dolmades, which were very good. The funny thing about this restaurant is that they have such good food, yet they are never full and the service is lacking. The atmosphere is extremely dated and in need of a face lift. Every time I go to Mykonos I think that they should be on Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares because they really have the potential, they just don’t have the décor. I don’t know what’s going on in the kitchen, but at least they make good food. The service was nothing to write home about. She was fairly attentive through the wine, appetizers and entrees. However, after we had finished our meal we had to wait 15 minutes for our bill, which always leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth. "

"Great Service!"

August 2008 — "I visited Mykonos for the first time with a couple of people and enjoyed the food they served. Our waiter was friendly and our food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. The restaurant had a very traditional Greek look to it with Greek music playing in the background. It was overall a good dining experience, however our waiter did spill a big glass of iced tea all over our table and completely soaked it. He handled the situation very well, though. He cleaned everything up promptly and asked us if we were ok and if we got wet. He was very attentive and apologized for the accident. He also took our drinks off the bill so we didn't have to pay for them. It was great customer service and I would dine there again."

"Avoid the Lounge"

April 2007 — "Being rather fond of Greek food and looking for a place to watch some on the hockey playoffs, Mykonons seem like a reasonable place to go. Big mistake - the service in the lounge leaves a lot to be desired. Since the same people that are serving in the restaraunt are serving in the lounge the lounge will always finish second. There also seems to be obvious favortism to the regulars - service seems to depend on there being nothing going on in the restaurant and the regulars in the Lounge are between rounds. The atmosphere is also less that inviting - it is not uncommon even early in the afternoon to find that a few of the regulars have already been in there too long. Combine this with a Juke box with the volume level cranked to the point that it is difficult to talk to anyone sitting at your table makes for a less than pleasant evening. It is certainly not a place I would want to take a guest. My advice - stick to the restaurant - the walls of the lounge should muffle the Juke box farly well and you will get your food a lot faster. "Great Greek Cuisine!"

March 2007 — "I have been to Mykonos several times over the past 15 years or so, but my last visit hadn't been for years. We chose to sit in the dining room, which is elegantly decorated in Greece's colours and has a fine-dining ambiance. We have had dinner in the lounge before and it is a stark contrast to the upscale atmosphere found in the restaurant... the lounge is full of VLTS and drunk regulars (at least when I was there). We chose to start with hummus and then I had the pork souvlaki with Greek salad and potatoes for dinner. My husband had lamb with rice pilaf in a tomato sauce. Everything was so delicious. The pork souvlaki was so tender and had been marinated to make it very tender and melt-in-your-mouth. The drink selection was quite impressive and I chose to have a martini. It too was great. Our server was very attentive and friendly, and I will definitely be visiting Mykonos sometime soon."
