February 2011 — "Long known as the best vietnamese sub in Calgary, Thi Thi Submarine is tucked away in the corner of Chinatown across from the Harry Hays building. You might miss it if you aren't paying attention because the size of this shop is roughly the size of a small bedroom. But don't let the size fool you because these viet subs pack quite a punch.
Menu consists of the usual items at vietnamese sub shops. Sate beef, chicken, and assorted (which is a type of vietnamese deli meat) are amongst the most popular. The flavour of their subs is what sets them apart from the competition. Their beef and chicken is marinated in a spicy sate and tasty (also greasy) sauce for maximum flavor. Sandwiches are then topped off with the usual ingredients such as cilantro, onions, cucumbers, and seasoned carrots. It's topped off with a special mayo spread which adds an extra kick to the sandwich.
Sate beef and chicken subs cost $6.50. Assorted subs $4.50. Highly recommended."

November 2009 — "Had the Sate Rib Sub yesterday and my mouth still waters just thinking about it. The baguette was perfectly toasted and the combination of flavours in the sub are unbeatable. They don't skimp on the chili peppers or on the cilantro and the pork rib is super tender. If you can't handle the heat pick up a bubble tea along the way!"

November 2009 — "This place seems to have a great reputation and has seen a lot of success since it first opened its doors. Today you will find independently run franchises in various locations in Uptown Calgary and down in the deep South West. I hadn’t come for a while, so decided to stop in for lunch one day at the original Down town Calgary location (Across from Harry Hayes). As I remembered, the customers were lined up out the door and it was a good 20minute before we reached the till to order. When I got to the front, I placed an order for the Assorted Sub which contains Vietnamese styled cold cuts. What is unusual about this place is that they always add cheese, which most other places do not. I personally prefer no cheese on my sub, just more authentic that way. They are made fresh to order, so its always hot from the toaster oven. Taste wise, its not too bad although for the long wait time, I would seriously consider other alternatives if you are short on time. Price was about $6-$7 per sub."

June 2009 — "I Love this place. The Chicken Sated Sub is what I always get. I tried it the first time I went there and loved it so much that I now crave it. These subs are also pretty good for you compared to other fast food options and are made to your specifications.
Besides the food you always get friendly service and if you do come back once in a while, they seem to get to know you and will greet you like a friend and a valuable customer.
It never disappoints.
