August 2009 — "Chief’s Sylvan Lake Chief’s is centrally located on Lakeshore Dr in front of the Lake. It has a large patio out front with lots of sun. Unfortunately when we arrived, so did several other people. We chose a spot on the patio. It took a while for the waitress to come take our drink orders as she had about 6 new tables, and she appeared to be the only one working the patio. The food then took quite some time to arrive, which I suppose is expected with the large amount of orders going to the kitchen at one time. We were starving, so once we did finally receive our food we dug in. I had ordered the steak sandwich, and my boyfriend a cheese burger. As far as pub steak sandwiches go, this was a good one. The steak was a good size and thick. Flavoring was ok. My boyfriend’s cheeseburger, on the other hand, was far less then great. The patty seemed cheap and store-bought with a processed cheese slice on top. Often with pubs you can find a great cheeseburger. Unfortunately this was not one of them. I would probably go again for drinks on the patio to enjoy the sun and to people watch, but I would probably choose somewhere else to eat. "
