April 2009 — "I was visiting my son & his family and we took them to this buffet for a dinner before we went home & the food was terrible. Not only was it cold & hard, the sour cream was yellow in spots, the rice was in clumps, the dessert cakes were hard. The jello was okay. I would not go back there again nor would I recommend it to anyone. The $73.00 price tag made me sick, because the food was so bad!!!!"

January 2009 — "I haven't been to this buffet in a couple of years so when someone suggested it for lunch I was looking forward to seeing how it had changed over the past two years.
The restaurant is very clean and even though it was a busy lunch hour we were seated quickly. The lunch buffet is only $9.99 which is good value when you consider the vast array of dishes they have to choose from. We started off with the wonton soup and then it was time for some serious eating. I enjoyed their Vietnamese spring rolls, fried rice, beef and broccoli and shanghai noodles. There are also perogies, pizza, fried chicken, sausages, mashed potatoes and a list of other dishes too long to mention. Team that up with a big salad bar and you have a real banquet.

"The Deer's buffet"Carlos
July 2007 — "I visited Red Deer Buffet after spending a day lounging at Sylvan Lake. An all you can eat buffet sounded like the right choice after receiving four hours of intense sun. The place was moderately busy and we got seated to our table within seconds of walking in the door. Our server asked us what we would like to drink and she brought it back by the time we had finished serving our first plate of the buffet. The food tasted absolutely great. Everything was fresh, hot, juicy, and full of flavour. The deep fried chicken in particular still has me craving for more to this day. The server refilled our drinks without even asking, so we always had a full cup. The buffet was a big restaurant, and although it was busy, it looked like it could easily handle more customers. The price was also very reasonable, one of the best I’ve seen for an all you can eat buffet. I definitely recommend Red Deer Buffet if you’re in town, and I will most definitely go back next time I’m around. "
