October 2010 — "Earl's in Red Deer is much like the others in Calgary - generally very clean, nice ambiance, somewhat noisy, and usually great food. The decor was fun this time - huge lit pumpkins with intricate faces, lovely chandeliers, and cozy lighting. I was with a party of 11 and the waitress was very pleasant about us springing this on her without a reservation - within about 10 minutes she had re-organized a space and was able to seat us all. The menu is the same as what I've seen in Calgary, and I knew I wanted the Mix Field Greens Salad - a great combination of goat cheese, greens, cider vinaigrette, candied pecans and apples for around $7.60 ...yum! I had a glass of pinot grigio and a side of rosemary-oregano pan bread ($3.60) to round out my meal. I really enjoyed my meal and the waiter was very attentive and checked in regularly to ensure our needs were met. The restaurant and restrooms were very clean and I have no complaints at all about the service. I definitely recommend this restaurant!"

February 2010 — "We were in town from Calgary for a funeral and decide to stop for lunch before the long drive home! Earls was packed for a Friday afternoon lunch - so the three of us in our party choose to sit in the lounge rather than wait for a table. I had the burger and my wife and her girl friend split a salad that had shrimp and quinoa and a margarita pizza. My burger was good, but the girls were raving about the salad and pizza! In fact the next day my wife tried to re-created it was so good! Service was average which was to be expected with all of the people! But my drink was topped up frequently, which can be a large task as I do drink a lot of pop! Who knew Red Deer was such a happening place on a Friday afternoon! I will for sure be back the next time I pass through."
