February 2012 — "A cozy room with leather couches and chairs, dark wood and a fireplace - just what a pub should be, especially for skiers! We were told that the food was very good here - no doubt it is, but I was disappointed in my pasta with scallops. Only four scallops and they were skinny ones at that! The pasta had a nicely flavored and delicate white sauce; so I enjoyed that, but the meal was pricey at $19.90. The white wine they suggested was very good. No one else in our party was raving that evening. "

One of Lake Louise's best-known secrets is this fireside lounge situated within the elegant Post Hotel & Spa. Sink into a down-filled leather couch surrounded by dark-wood panelling and order some not-so-typical pub grub: chicken burger with spicy mayo and avocado, or beef goulash with spaetzle. The best seat in the house is in front of a large open fireplace.
