August 2010 — "A friend and I went to Fionn MacCools at the Sheraton Eau Claire for lunch one day. It feels very much like an Irish pub from the moment you step inside, sit down and order a cold pint of Guinness. The service was very good, particularly notable due to the fact that this was during the lunch rush. I was also impressed that even during the hectic lunch hour we were able to talk without shouting at one another and we didn't need to take a long lunch in order to have a good sit-down lunch at a restaurant.
Our beverages were brought promptly and it didn't take me long after looking at the menu to decide that I wanted the Guinness steak and mushroom boxty. I really love a good boxty. The food came quite quickly and the conversation stopped as I dove into my potato pancake filled with a generous amount of steak and mushrooms. The Guinness sauce was rich, but not overwhelmingly so. The portion was large but I managed to make a good dent in it and went back to my office more than adequately satisfied.
I love Fionn MacCool's and will definitely be back for lunch or some drinks and appetizers after work."

July 2009 — "This place looked like an authentic irish pub, the staff is friendly and very helpful. We chose to sit on their big patio. I liked the menu because it contained delicious irish recipes mixed with global recipes. Our waitress was knowledgeable of the food and drink items. The domestic and import beer selection was excellent. The quality of food was good, the price matched the portion and quality. Overall, I would definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends."

January 2007 — "I really like this place. Warily venturing into the pub through the Sheraton foyer, I had prepared myself for exuberant prices... but upon skimming through the menu I was pleasantly surprised to find that I could actually afford to eat there. I love the jovial, relaxed atmosphere of Irish pubs - so dependable in Irish pubs across the world - and Fionn MacCools lives up to the standard. On both of my visits so far it has been bustling, but not over-crowded, and the service is very attentive, prompt, friendly and accommodating. The last time we were there we ordered the fish n' chips and steak pie from the extensive menu and both meals were huge, hot and incredibly tasty. A good range of beers and other beverages are on offer to help wash the food down. There are screens for the sports fans, and we even caught a live band on our last visit. Casually seated in the middle of the pub floor, with diners seated around, they belted out very talented renditions of classic Irish rock and folk songs. I love live music, but that night it was a tad too noisy for conversation and there was no real room to dance. That's probably my only complaint, and it is a very, very small one. This is a fun, affordable place to eat delicious, filling meals."
