January 2012 — "We stopped in Banff on a Sunday to grab a bite to eat. It was freezing and the first place we came across was Wild Bill's Legendary Saloon. I have been here a few times, but mostly at the night to see a band. We were greeted by a friendly host who gave us a table by the window so we could people watch on Banff Avenue. I was starving so we decided to get the breaded pickles to start. They came with an aioli and were actually really good. I had never had these before. For my main I decided to have a burger. It was kind of a Tex Mex style with corn on it. I can't say it was very good. The patties were small and pretty tasteless. The fries and gravy were good though. The service was pretty good and we were in and out within an hour. I like the casual atmosphere of Wild Bill's so will probably go back."

April 2011 — "I have always heard a great deal about Wild Bills and although I frequent Banff had yet to visit the "Legendary Saloon". Finally deciding to give it a whirl for a casual dinner I was quite impressed. Our light appetizer of basic corn chips and homemade salsa was delicious, their salsa is fantastic! I always love having Elk or Bison when in Banff so I went for the Elk burger and was not disappointed. The portion sizes at Wild Bills were well worth the cost, which were actually below average in my opinion for Banff. The nice pub atmosphere with chatter and laughs all around, a charming Aussie waiter and a window seat looking onto Banff Avenue made the dinner fantastic.

November 2010 — "The last time I visited Wild Bill's Saloon was a few years ago and it was a great spot for a fun night out in Banff. On my last visit we still had fun but it definitely seems to have lost some of its former charm... and clientele.
To be fair on my last visit a few years ago it was during a rugby tournament in Banff and the bar was packed full of rugby players and fans having fun after a day of exciting matches. On this visit, we were there between summer and the ski season so perhaps that is why it was less busy.
By the end of the night there was a decent crowd there and the dance floor was busy, full of people enjoying the retro tunes played by the live band.
I found the drinks to be a bit pricey but they had a decent selection. The menu had a Western influence and there was lots of meat on offer in the form of burgers, steak and wings. We snacked on nachos and the Mexican veggies were a nice touch.
Wild Bill's wasn't as exciting this visit as on my last but I would give it another try during a busier time of year. "

Offering all the fun and excitement of the wild west, Wild Bill's features great bands, line dancing, calf roping and big-screen TVs. The menu features a hearty selection of western Canadian cuisine, complemented by an impressive range of regional and international wines, beer and spirits. Located on Banff's main street, the saloon boasts inspirational mountain views from its patio.
