November 2010 — "I think this place was a pretty good place for pho in Edmonton. It serves the typical stuff but the portions were pretty large. This place is a bit more pricey then other places I've been to ($13 for a typical beef pho versus the $7 i find in some places). My friends really liked this restaurant and the service was really quick and friendly. I think we would all enjoy coming back to this restaurant. "

August 2010 — "It is a pretty Vietnamese restaurant, the staff is accommodating and courteous. The service is fast and you get seated right away. Their food menu has all the usual soups, vermicelli, rice and so on. Unfortunately, they do not have veggie spring rolls. The food is delicious. Their portion are good, however I do find that their prices have 1-3 dollars more than other places (i.e. Phobulous). Decor wise, it is one of the nicest Vietnamese places in the city. "

May 2006 — "I visited Doan's with a friend and was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. We were there fairly early in the day, and there was almost no one else in the restaurant.
Service was very quick and the food was some of the best Vietnamese I've had in a long time. The decor is a little cheesy, but as Vietnamese restaurants go it was much classier than the average.
The food was nicely spiced and fresh. Overall, I highly recommend Doan's and found it quite a step up from the usual quick and dirty Vietnamese you might typically encounter in a strip mall."
