April 2011 — "My boyfriend and I were trying go to a different restaurant one night and even through it was 8 pm the wait times at this particular restaurant were over 30 minutes. Across the street was a Chilis and so we both looked at each other and thought...yup let's do it! We arrived at Chilis and only waited 5 minutes before getting a table. We both ordered two different meals and we were extremely pleased with our selections. The Southwest Egg Rolls were amazing! Our waitress was efficient and helpful with recommendations. We would go back to Chili's in a heartbeat. "

August 2010 — "I stopped into the Chili's at Edmonton Airport during a stopover after a flight from London and waiting for a flight to Calgary. I was exhausted and hungry and probably pretty grumpy and haggard.
My airport restaurant experience at Heathrow had been average at best so I was pleasantly surprised with the food and service at Chili's. I sat at the bar and the bartender was friendly and chatty without being overbearing. He made my margarita quickly and it tasted great.
I ordered the spinach and artichoke dip and it was very good. Cheesy with lots of flavour and very filling. The restaurant wasn't too busy but there were a few other travellers at the counter and I ended up having a great conversation with one of them about my recent adventures in the UK.
The restaurant was tidy and efficient. I even had time to have a second drink before heading to catch my flight back to Calgary. It was a pleasant surprise after my experiences at larger, less friendly airports. "

June 2010 — "Chilis Texas Grill, located near Whyte Avenue, is a Mexican restaurant. It is similar to Julio's Barrio, but I think the food is a bit better. The food menu contains many of the same items and the drink menu is also quite similar to Julio's. There are lots of margaritas and fruity drinks to choose from. Tacos, burritos and nachos are some popular meal items. I ordered the barbecue chicken tacos. They were quite good and the size was substantial. They came with rice and beans too.
The restaurant is quite large. In the summertime they have a roof top patio which gets very busy.
Compared to the patio, the upstairs dining level is quite dim. When we ate here the service was a bit slow and when I ordered one of the large margaritas they couldn't serve it to me because they were out of the correct cups. This was quite disappointing.
The waitress was friendly but she seemed to have a lot of people to take care of. The restaurant was able to accommodate our large group of people. Others in the restaurant also seemed to be in large groups (birthday parties, stagettes and what not).
I would go back to to Chilis if I couldn't find another restaurant to go to but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here. I guess if they had room on the patio then it would be worth coming here for drinks and a bite to eat though.

October 2009 — "My companion, who also happens to be my son, and I decided to go out for dinner after work. It was early on a Thursday afternoon and the restaurant is just off of Whyte Ave. The restaurant was nearly empty so we had our choice of seats. Hallowe'en decorations were set up and brought a festive atmosphere. Our drink order was taken and brought to us quickly. After a quick view of the menu our waiter was right there to take our order. It did not take long for our order to be brought to us. I had a large dinner salad and my son had the Grilled chicken sandwich with a side salad. Both meals looked very appetizing and although they tasted very good, the lettuce seemed to be frozen in parts. All in all, it was well worth it. The food tasted good, the establishment was clean, the staff was friendly and prompt and it was reasonably priced. I will be returning to enjoy another meal there. "

Fajitas, burgers and fire-grilled steaks are favourites at this friendly casual spot. The grill also offers low-fat choices for calorie counters. Four locations in Edmonton.
