January 2011 — "This was my first time eating at The Confederation Lounge located at the Fairmont Hotel Macdonald. The lounge had big comfy chairs and was a quiet place for lunch on the day we visited. I ordered the French onion soup and the chicken club sandwich. The soup was okay, served very hot with lots of melted cheese. The chicken club sandwich was the winner here. The sandwich was served on a ciabatta bun with warm grilled chicken, bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. The sandwich was satisfying, and had a side of yam fries with dip. The service was good, and I was happy that the server had recommended the chicken club. The food and service did exceed my expectations, because you never quite know what you'll get in a lounge."
