December 2008 — "By far the best Indian food in calgary!
I travelled to Indian for a month, 3weeks ago, and Skylark is the only restaurant in calgary that is authentic. I have tried nearly every restaurant and nothing compares. Not only was it great food but I found out one of the dishes I wanted isn't made the same here as in india The owner found out I was just in India and had the cooks make it for me the same way as in Delhi.

June 2008 — "My co-workers and I go to Skylark at least once a month and its always good. The lunch buffet is a great deal. They always have butter chicken plus another meat curry (usually beef or goat), tandoori chicken, chick pea curry, paneer dish, pakora and lots of basmati rice. Each one is really tasty. I love the homemade desserts than have as well. The rice pudding and jalebi are so good! The outside looks non descript but the restaurant is behind the swinging doors! "

April 2007 — "Skylark is the best east indian rest. in Calgary next to Chutney. I've been going there for many years and everyone I've recommended it to has loved it and said it's the best. Though Vancouver has many East Indian Rest. they all suck and my cousins from BC stated that this rest. is better then the ones in BC. The only down fault on this rest. is the location and the set up of the rest. "

November 2006 — "This place must have been good at some point because two people recommended it to me.......
However, I can honestly say this is the WORST Indian food and possibly worst food period ever eaten at a restaurant. Weird set-up makes you feel uncomfortable and garlic naan made with garlic powder/salt????? Butter chicken did not even resemble anything I have ever seen and was actually inedible (off-white color??). My boyfriend is half Indian and we are both very familiar with Indian cuisine and this was just terrible. I will admit that we have yet to find a good Indian Restaurant in Calgary (We're from Vancouver) the best I can give any of them is about 3 out of 5 stars."
