July 2010 — "We were looking for a place for an after hike beer and dinner. Due to some convention going on and some great sunny weather, most patios were over an hour wait time. But we heard about this place from on of the locals. We go on the patio in less than 15 minutes and had service right away for drinks. I got the bison burger and it was perfectly cooked and moist, where usually bison tends to be overcooked in many places.
The even allowed me to make some customizations without charging me extra fees. The meal was delicious and service was also great considering how busy the place was and the fact we had a part of 12.
Would recommend the Drake to all.

August 2007 — "On a recent day trip out to the mountains for a hike, my friends and I stopped for breakfast at The Drake to fuel up before the day’s activity. We had debated just stopping for a McMuffin at McDonald’s or a breakfast sandwich at Tim Horton’s but I think we were all glad that we took the time to eat at The Drake.
Everyone really enjoyed their food. There were a lot of omelettes at the table, but I had my favourite, scrambled eggs, toast and hash browns. The eggs were nice and fluffy and the hash browns were delicious. Maybe not a healthy side but they were totally worth it.
Everything was relatively clean (not spotless but fine considering it’s a rowdy bar in the evening) and the service was very good. Friendly and attentive. The interior is sort of rustic with a lot of wood furniture. I think what I like best about The Drake is it seems like a real locals joint. Nothing about it is trendy and touristy. Definitely a good reason to go back.

May 2007 — "The Drake looks run down, but they serve a delicious breakfast. I had a standard meal (poached eggs, sausages etc) and it was fresh, filling and delicious. I'll be back."

"Surprisingly good breakfast"

August 2006 — "I had always thought of the Drake as more of an late-night place for music and drinking (which is good too), but I ended up going here for breakfast recently and was really surprised by how good it was. They have a big patio, with lots of flower boxes and picnic tables. Since it was a sunny morning, this was perfect. Their breakfasts were huge and our coffees were refilled regularily. I had pancakes with spiced apple topping and sausages. I left very full and very happy."
