September 2009 — "I've been coming to this restaurant occasionally over the years. The food here is usually decent, key word "usually". If you come to this restaurant on a day where it's a "miss", then you'll likely not want to go back. This was the case when I took my coworker here for lunch. The restaurant was packed with people with only one tiny two person table left that we were able to snatch. The service was amazingly slow. We ordered a roast pork combination and a beef ho fan dish. This was perhaps the worst experience I've had at this restaurant. The noodle dish came out drenched in oil/grease. The roast pork was at least 60% fat, leaving only a tiny bit of meat per piece and the skin. The dishes were also very soggy (which it's not supposed to be). Bottom line, if you can overlook the occasional time when the food is bad, you will like this restaurant for the wide selection and decent prices."

August 2009 — "I've been going to this restaurant on occasion for at least the last 10 years. This restaurant offers decent food and extremely fast service. Most people complain about the service, but I think the key is to just put your hand and get eye contact with one of the many servers strolling around. They will come and take your order immediately. This restaurant is usually very packed but the turn over is quite fast. I came here at noon on a Friday with a coworker and was given a number to wait. We were third in line but the wait was only about 5 minutes long. I ordered a double BBQ special that came with roasted pork and BBQ duck on rice with a side of steamed lettuce and soup. It was very good and filling. The best part was that my bill was under $10 and I was in and out of there in less than 40 minutes. This is a great lunch location for if you work nearby. I highly recommend this restaurant for all your HK/Chinese food needs."

June 2009 — "Okay, first off, if your going to eat at this restaurant you have to understand a couple of things.
a) The service is BAD. Very bad!
b) Never refer to the restaurants lunch or "tea-time" menu when you are there for dinner. They will deny any items only on this menu has ever existed.
c) If you want anything, ANYTHING, you must get a server's attention. They've never heard of "checking on tables".
d) They have really good Chinese-barbecued meats, that they are usually sold out of by dinner time.
Now, with all that in mind, I came here for a bbq lunch last week. I ordered a combo platter of roasted pork and roasted duck. The combo is a great deal at $12.95. The meat comes on a bed of rice, as well as the soup of the day (usually a very simple beef bone soup) and steamed lettuce (which is better than it sounds). The meal was good as usual, the roast pork was crispy on the outside and not at all dry. The duck was also good, although I wish I had gotten a better cut.
Like I say, this restaurant has some of the worst service ever, but it's kind of like that soup-guy in Seinfeld...
...sometimes the food makes up for it."

May 2009 — "Formally known as Sun Chiu Kee, this rebranded honk kong style café restaurant still offers the exact same menu, but under a different name. If you come during peak times (ie. Lunch or Dinner Rush) you will find it very hard to find a table and they will often ask if you don’t mind sharing tables with other patrons. This is the cultural norm in places like Hong Kong where space is lacking. If you don’t mind sharing a table, you can usually get a table a lot quicker. As you enter the restaurant you will find a display of Chinese BBQ’d meats like BBQ Pork, Roast Pork, Soy Sauce Chicken, Roast Duck and more, and I have to say that this place makes some of this cities best barbequed meats. We sat down and I ordered the two item BBQ combo, which gives you your choice of 2 meats and comes with lots of rice, soup and a boiled lettuce salad. I ordered the Roast Pork and BBQ Pork. The meat was juicy and tender, not try like many other butcher shops and restaurants. However, the service leaves a lot to be desired. If you are not used to dining at these types of restaurants, you may find the service very lacking (but is the norm in these types of Chinese cafes). It is often difficult to get refills on your drinks or to ask any questions you may have about your food. If you can overlook this, then you will be sure to enjoy your food."

May 2006 — "Attached to an asian supermarket, the restauant is very busy and has a large number of very authentic dishes. You will find dishes containing tripe, chicken feet, pigs ear and all kinds of surprising ingredients. The menu has a couple pictures, but not a lot of detail, so it is a bit of a gamble when you order. The wait staff didn't offer a lot of help with our questions, although they were very quick and efficient. The dishes we ended up ordering were fresh and tasty though. The BBQ items are especially good, but are only available before 6pm."
