December 2011 — "A few friends and I came here specifically for the mango beer. Unfortunately, they were sold out that night. We did find quite a lot of other interesting beers that we do not normally see offered in restaurants. My friends had cherry flavored and iced tea flavored beers. They also served one of my friends Japanese beer. I tried two different German beers, as recommended by the waitress and both were wonderful. I am definitely coming back to this place to try new beers. "

September 2011 — "This 17th ave pub faces south so it gets lots of natural light through their huge glass windows that open up like garage doors. They have a huge beer selection both from bottels and on tap. Their beer menu includes an RB rating for some beers which is a website called Rate Beer where people do just that. I tried the Chimay blonde on tap and it was delicious for only $6.90. I ate the blackened snapper ciabatta sandwich which for only $14 came with two sides so I had the caesar salad and fries. The sandwich came with mango coulis, fresh avocado, organic tomatoes, greens, and haus aioli. My only complaint would be that one piece of the avocado was brown but it didn't taste bad just looked unappealing. The sandwich was fantastic. The caesar salad was by far the best one I've ever had because I prefer light dressing and their homemade dressing was perfect. It had just the right amount of garlic and anchovies and wasn't smothered all over the romaine.
The server was really nice and genuine. She greeted many regular customers by name and greeted every stranger too. This place is busy all the time and people tend to stay past their curfew so go join the crown."

July 2011 — "1410 World Beer Haus is a popular pub located on the heart of 17th Ave's also known as the Red Mile. It is operated by the same management whichs owns two other popular pubs around the city, Classic Jacks and 1600 World Beer Haus. I'm not certain as to the significant of the names 1410 and 1600 but it hardly matters because the food and atmosphere at all three fo these modern pubs is fantastics. 1410 always seems to be crowded with people and there is plenty of seating on top of a small patio. This pub is a little bit cramped but that is because real estate on the popular 17th Ave walk is at a premium. There are great specials each day of the week with weekends being the only exception. There is also a little patio at the front but it doesn't seat a lot of people. Still a great pub and a good place to grab a drink."

May 2011 — "I went to 1410 with a friend on a Monday night. I heard alot about their food and drink specials and thought it would be a great place to go on a warm spring's eve. We REALLY wanted to sit out on the patio. The place was packed and I know why! First reason was probably the hockey game, and the other reason was definitely 1410's awesome specials!
They have 9 cent wings almost every other night and other great specials on appetizers and really reasonable drink prices. It really wasnt a great place to relax though, and I had forgotten about the game. It must be a really good place on other nights. The service was really lacking, they need more staff to keep up with the demands. The food was good, although they wouldn't mix wing flavors or ribs.
I thought the Ceasar was really good and I didn't really need the other side of potatoe because the portions were very generous. The presentation of the food and plates really was impressive compared to your average pub. The food and drink great, the service and atmosphere, small loud and a bit harsh for my taste. "

January 2011 — "1410 is a newly renovated trendy pub on the very popular 17th Ave. There are lots of big screen TV’s throughout and comfortable seating. The crowd seemed to range from twenty to forty something and were often large groups of people. It was quite busy the weekday evening I was there, so service did take an extra long time, but the waitress did her best to try to keep up. The food was excellent and the majority of the entrees came with the choice of two small sides which was great if you just want a few French fries to satisfy a craving without having to get a huge order of it. My friend recommended the spinach side salad which comes with a vinaigrette dressing, mushrooms, bacon and a sprinkle of dried cranberries. I really enjoyed the environment of this place and will definitely be back to enjoy another round of sides with my meal! "

November 2010 — "I've often gone past this bar on my adventures around 17th avenue, but I finally gave it a try on a night out with friends recently. The verdict? Meh.
I'll start with what I liked -- the beer selection. They have all sorts of impressive imports from Europe and beyond. They even have import ciders too. I've been to lots of Calgary places that boast decent beer selections, but 1410 definitely has some that I've never seen anywhere else. The only problem is that they tend to be a bit expensive, but I guess that's the price you pay for trying something different.
The thing I didn't enjoy was the crowd and general atmosphere. The decor is very dark and plain, and the people who hang out there aren't the usual mix of fun, diverse people that usually populate bars along 17th. Rather, the whole bar seemed kind of boring and standoffish. But maybe I was there on an off night.
The service wasn't good either, but it was quite busy so I didn't expect it to be. "

"Best Burger In Town"Keith
October 2010 — "I’m going to go out on a limb and claim the 1410 world burger as being quite possibly the best burger in Calgary. Especially when ordered on Friday when they are on special.
My friends and I came here to watch a Flames game, and I ordered the aforementioned burger simply because it was the special. To my surprise the incredible mix of gouda, deep-fried onions and bacon and a perfectly grilled (medium rare!) burger made my night! I’ve since tried to expel the virtues of this burger to my friends, who maintain it was an aberration, but until I’m proved wrong, I’m convinced this is simply how the world burger is always served.
To top it off, 1410 serves Leffe on tap, which is a perfect accompaniment to the world burger. And the service is prompt enough to make sure you never run out.
If there’s one complaint with the place its in how cramped it can feel. I understand they’re a popular pub, but at times it felt as though they crammed as many tables as the fire code would allow. In fact at one point our server had trouble reaching our table because of the table placement.

January 2010 — "I just ate at the newly renovated 1410 World Beer Haus the other night and was very impressed with the food and the service. The drinks did take a little long initially, however they were very good tasting wings and enchiladas made up for it (and plus they are busy)! The wings where on special and they were very large and non greasy. The enchiladas were also on feature and it was the first time I had tried them there and will definitely order them again. They tortillas tightly wrapped with chicken, cheese, mushrooms and onions, sliced and dressed lightly with sour cream. Most entrees here also come with the choice of two sides! And the sides are awesome. I suggest the spinach salad which comes dressed with an almond vinaigrette, fresh mushrooms, bacon and dried cranberries. The drinks on special were of Mexican theme so we both
drank Pacifico's. The new addition to the restaurant is really nice with several large screen tv's located throughout, playing all the Flames games when on.. I will be back!!"
