May 2011 — "The Pavilion is a simple Chinese restaurant in NW Calgary. The ambiance is not great, the interior is run down, and it is right beside a gas station. We were there for Mother's Day dinner, and we expected it to be busy. Unfortunately, our food was sooooo slow! There must have only been one cook in the kitchen, and I think there was 2 waitresses doing cash and take-out. They really should have more staff on busy occasions! The food was good, we ordered Peking duck, tofu soup and fried rice. Our food took about 1 hour. But we have been there other times, when it was not as busy, and they are much faster! All of our dishes were really good though, I really liked the tofu soup in particular. I would recommend this place, just don't go on any type of holiday."

March 2011 — "The Pavillion Restaurant is located on the corner of a nondescript gas station in the neighborhood of Hawkwood serving the many Chinese residents in the area. Their menu is typical of most Chinese restaurants in town offering a good selection of Cantonese and Chinese cuisine. The restaurant is brightly lit and clean while the service was friendly and fast. The restaurant offers plenty of seating with tables able to accommodate large families despite the relatively small dining space. It seems each neighborhood has a Chinese restaurant to call their own and this one does not particularly stand out but does the trick when you're craving to satisfy a stir fried fix. On my visit I was able to try a few Chinese cuisine staples. Their menu items include a large selection of seafood and hot plates which can be ordered to taste. Menu prices are average for this part of town. "
