June 2011 — "After hearing my brother rave about Misato sushi, I finally was able to go give it a try over an early Sunday evening. I must say, without his recommendation, I probably wouldn't have made it all the way out there, at 1851 Sirocco Dr. SW, in the same mini mart area as Sunterra. The drive seemed so far from the northwest, but I must say it was a new experience and worth the try. The one roll or special that left a lasting impression was the Calgary Special roll. When I first saw the menu though, I was super surprised that 8 pieces equalled $22.50! Crazy! When our roll came, I understood why. All of the good stuff, they were all put into one big roll. One that needs to be nibbled on, not one go. WE also ordered an array of other rolls including the unagi roll, spider roll and some fusion foods. Nonetheless, Misato was a place for fresh sushi and sashimi at it's most purest. It was very enjoyable. "

"My Top Sushi place in Calgary"Scott
March 2010 — "My girlfriend and I frequent sushi places around Calgary of all types, costs and appearances and we have found Misato to be the never fail number 1!! I am not one for exaggerating but this place has the greatest tuna in town. You know when the rolls also come and the tempura in the middle is still warm and the rice is the perfect temperature? Well that's the case at Misato everytime (about 20 or so now) we go.
It is a little more expensive (about $15 more per couple) but it's worth it."

December 2009 — "No Sushi in Calgary comes even close. Take a look around, packed all the time. The wife and I drive from McKenzie Towne at least two times a month to visit.
Try the "Scuds" and the "Calgary Roll". "

October 2007 — "My boyfriend and I are frequent customers to Misato...we have tried other sushi restaurants around Calgary only to always come back to Misato. Friendly, prompt service; clean eating area AND bathrooms; delicious menu (try the 'Misato rolls' and the 'spicy rolls'....mmmmm!!). Good value for your money. It can get busy, and if you are going on a Friday/Saturday night at prime-time, it's good to make a reservation. They are open for lunch, but not on Monday's (all day).
Give them a try, you won't be disappointed!! "

"By far the best sushi in Calgary"

June 2007 — "My boyfriend and I eat here every Sunday. We've tried almost every sushi restaurant in Calgary and Misato is by far the best. It's very fresh. The sashimi is phenomenal and the tempura is excellent. It's a bit more expensive than most, and doesn't have all-you-can-eat, but it's worth the money. I definitely recommend trying this restaurant...but it's not open on Mondays."
