September 2010 — "My friend who is Vegetarian, (I am not) suggested we go to Padmanadi to check out their new location. I was a bit skeptical, however I have heard many good things about this place, the owner and his family. The decor in their new location is beautiful...very tastefully decorated with a nice flow and ambiance. Our server, was attentive and friendly. We ordered 3 dishes to share among us (3 people) one being an appetizer, the Salty Chicken (fake) Strips, I could not believe it was not chicken...great with the Hot Sauce too! The Curry (fake) Chicken is excellent as well fooled me, again I was not eating chicken...the other dish Spicy Coconut Eggplant was just Okay, not something I would order again though. After we finished our meal, the owner stopped by our table to chat and welcome us to his restaurant. I have heard that the desserts are to die for, unfortunately we did not have room to try any. This restaurant is an excellent vegetarian choice in Edmonton and not bad prices (3 people ate for under $50 not including tip). I will definitely be back to try other Vegetarian dishes! "

May 2007 — "Padmanadi's is a real find for my wife and I. The food is amazing, the owners are warm and friendly, the prices are reasonable and the meatless meat selection is like none other.
The only down side is that it's difficult to get your water refilled (as they serve tea with your meal) and the dishes come out one at a time.
They have recently increased their prices and changed the menu. But I expect the same level of quality and authentic buddhist cooking (no onion, no meat and no garlic)
This really is a must try! I very highly recommend and dare say that you cannot be disappointed.
