March 2011 — "I was looking on this website for a good VNese restaurant in the SE and chose Chi Lan because I saw it had the highest rating and I now know why. The restaurant is casual but very nice. The service was incredible! The salad rolls were so fresh and the soup was delicious. Their peanut sauce is the best I've ever tasted and I order salad rolls everywhere I go. I strongly recommend this restaurant (especially #4, #6 and #46) as it is now my favorite Vietnamese!"

April 2010 — "This is definitely the BEST Vietnamese restaurant I've been to in Calgary! I didn't expect much my first time there (thinking its just another mom & pop place) restaurant but I was sick of all the other food on 130th and was I in for a surprise!Their Sate Beef on vermicelli is 10/10. It's CLEAN, casual and really quick. Generous portions, great prices. The extensive menu is sure to have something to cater to even the fussiest diners. The staff are very well trained so there's not much to be said. They also have the best peanut sauce - hands down. My 3 yr old licked her sauce bowl! I have recommended Chi Lan to my neighbors, clients, and friends. Keep up the great work!"

March 2009 — "I recently visited Chi lan. It was a good experience, the restaurant is casual and the service is quick & on-the-ball. The menu has a variety of items including rice dishes, vermicelli noodle bowls, beef noodle soups and various vegetarian options. I'm a big fan of beef noodle soup so that is what i chose to go with. I'd give the soup a 7.5 out of 10, it was hot and the portion was decent, I've had the opportunity to check out several other beef noodle soups over the last past couple of months so my level of critique is higher now than before. The restaurant seemed to have a cleaner appearance in contrast to some others I've been to. The staff was very friendly and did a great job in ensuring we always had everything we needed through-out our dining experience. I would certainly go visit Chi Lan again."

They always have the food ready (when I pick up) either exactly when I show up (seems that way) or right before I walk in...talk about amazing timeliness!
