March 2012 — "I had never been to the Blackfoot Inn for Sunday Brunch, but for a recent family birthday gathering we ended up making a reservation there. Our reservation was for six people at 12:30pm and when we arrived the restaurant was not very busy, which was a surprise for a Sunday Brunch buffet. We were seated at a table overlooking the outdoor swimming pool and courtyard, which was pretty nice. The buffet itself was quite satisfactory. It had the standard chaffing dishes full of eggs Benedict, sausages (including chicken sausages), bacon, fresh toast, pancakes etc. There was also an omelette station that also had a roast beef and ham. There was also a salad bar, a seafood bar (which I avoided - allergies), and lots of desserts and fruit. It was nice that it wasn't busy because we were able to just go and grab whatever we wanted when we wanted... the omelette chef was basically our own personal chef! The servers were ok. They kind of hovered out of boredom and at one point one of them came over and tapped me on the shoulder and whispered "how many people are seniors at this table?" Everyone at the table heard him though, so that was a bit awkward. The buffet is $24 for adults and $17 for seniors. When it came to pay the bill we totally overtipped because the person who divided up what we owed didn't notice there was already at 15% gratuity on it. Overall the experience was pretty good for a brunch buffet and we will probably keep it in mind for the next time we feel like gorging ourselves on a Sunday. "

"Dinner Buffet worth a try"

January 2010 — "We recently attended a dinner event at the Blackfoot Inn. The dinner was served from their Green's Restaurant inside. The was about 200 people so we had to line up a bit to get to the food. Dinner buffets are great to try a bit of everything the restaurant had to offer. There was greek, potato and pasta salad for appetizers and salmon and prime rib for the main course. With rosemary potato's and mixed veggies for sides. Everything tasted great and the staff kept refilling the food so it didn't run out for anyone in line. The servers made sure everything's drinks was topped up and all the finished dished were collected. I believe the food and service would be even better if we go back and try out other food from the restaurant instead of in a buffet line. For anyone coming to visit Calgary, I'd recommend staying at this Inn and trying out their food."
